I did meet DH on a train that was a good meeting story.
I would love one of those thanksgiving or Christmas dinners where we all cook at the house, play a pick up football game or run a 5K, we spend all our time in the kitchen and we all get snowed in together with our kids and grandkids bustling out of the guest rooms
Awww I love that! I met my husband in an airport. Have you seen the Modern Love train episode with Kit Harrington (aka John Snow)?
I feel like I’ve had your second one, waking up on Christmas Day with my mom, kids, siblings, etc. to the surprise of snow with a family of deer in the yard, snowball fights and tons of cooking / eating amazing food. It was magical! We are not a 5k family though, and marrying into that type of family is my worst nightmare 😆

One of my favorite (terrible) ‘80s movies is Playing for Keeps where a guy inherits a mansion that turns out to be a dump but he and his friends fix it up to be a rock and roll mansion/ hotel. At the beginning of that movie they play a game called Christopher Columbus at night in the city, which is like a cross between capture the flag and jail tag, maybe? It was my dream to play that game IRL my whole childhood and I would also love the fixer upper mansion part. Throw in a holiday rom-com plot line and put the mansion in Europe and this is my dream.
An 80s montage sequence wherein our house and yard are renovated. Another montage where DH starts therapy for his anxiety/ocd/hoarding tendencies. And then another montage where I get treatment after the source of my chronic pain is discovered/confirmed.

Honestly, I think it would be a movie-style confrontation with a few certain people where I say all the concise and devastatingly truthful things in the absolutely most perfect way, and this prompts them to realize how right I am and completely change their attitude/position/actions/get their shit together.
ALSO, would very much like a moment where Trump and everyone who enabled him actually gets speedily and convincingly convicted (with clever and dramatic, airtight legal arguments that all happen very quickly and decisively and convince everyone), then that jail-door-sliding-closed moment where they're on the inside standing and watching it close, and then you never have to think about them again because it's over and done with and that's the end of all things related to them.
My first thought was that moment when she walks into her corner, completely (nicely lol) furnished office, sets her briefcase down, and sits behind the desk, turning in the chair to take in the view from the floor to ceiling windows.
Then I thought maybe I'd rather experience a moment where you finally escape your tormentor. Like she did in Enough (Jennifer Lopez?).
And then I thought if I'm really going to fantasize I want to be the person the aliens choose to make first contact with... or the quiet, unassuming woman working in her garden who suddenly discovers that the skills she's practiced for decades are now magical.
...I think I'm going to stick with that last one. I just want to be a calm, patient, POWEFUL witch.
ETA: I'd also really love to snap my fingers and have everything back in its place and clean.
Working Girl is one of my favorite movies and that scene is one of my favorites !
Oh. I thought she was talking about Don’t Tell Mom the Babysitters Dead, lol

I'm picturing the scene in Muriel's Wedding where Rhonda confronts all of Muriel's "friends" on the Island about what trash they are and throws in that Friend #1's H was cheating on her with Friend #2...ensuing in an takedown of Friend #2 by Friend #1. That movie is amazing and I would also love to live the talent show scene where Rhonda and Muriel perform as ABBA.

that's so cool you met your DH in an airport. I watched all of those Modern Loves but forget so easily so need to watch again. Your memory sounds so nice and cozy. What a great day. Yes I love sports and competitions so when those rom coms show the pick up games I want to be doing it too as long as it's not football. My little sister is like you and would hate that!
I love the scenes where the guy sings to the girl. I am watching 10 Things I Hate about you and the scene where Heath sings is just perfection.
I was *just* watching this with dd for the 1st time yesterday and was so excited for her to see this part for the 1st time and see if she loved it as much as I did. This is probably my wish too, although the 1st one I thought of was Tom Cruise in Top Gun singing You've Lost that Loving Feeling to Charlie.

I have such a different reaction to a guy singing to the girl...or anyone singing to their romantic interest!
The idea of someone singing to me makes me want to shrivel up and die of second-hand and first-hand embarrassment. The worst episode of Schitt's Creek was when Patrick sings "Simply the Best" to David. So uncomfortable!

One of my favorite scenes is when Edward (Patrick Dempsey) sings just a few words of the song that he and Giselle (Amy Adams) are dancing to and you can just tell they are in love with each other. That's my dream. But, I'm not a Princess and I can't dance, so there's that.

I would take a "second chance at love" moment. Middle-aged mom meets handsome guy who recognizes that we are all flawed and doing our best, and loves me anyway.
It would be nice if he was loaded, but I'd take "can pay his own bills" as a perfectly reasonable standard.

This is me. The Barbie / Ken guitar playing is not nearly as bad as a dude singing to you or watching someone serenade another person, even if they have a good voice. I die of second hand embarrassment! I do like the 10 Things I Hate About You song even though I’m embarrassed for her, but it’s Heath and I grew up near that high school. I have trouble watching Ben Stiller movies due to second hand embarrassment unless he’s an over the top character like Zoolander.
No one wants a guy to draw them wearing a necklace...only a necklace?
That always looked really cold to me and I would get so bored and fidgety. Plus being stared at so long would make my skin crawl.
The renovations montage (and magically affording it all) would be pretty sweet.
I'll settle for solo driving the northern parts of highway 1 or pretty much any route between Muir Woods/stinson/bolinas/olema at golden hour (which suits me better than Malibu anyway - an empty twisting road, redwoods/ocean and that perfect light). I do it at least few times a year, sometimes just to go out where we scattered my dad's ashes and think a bit.
If I could have magic, I'd love to jump back and forth through time "About Time" style. I've always thought I would appreciate motherhood more if I could occasionally pause a day in the baby years to jump to a random chill day of later adulthood and step out of quiet times to relive exhausting but precious in their own way days with the little ones.

My best friend is consistently telling me the the things the new guy I'm seeing does for me should 100% be made into a movie...so I think I've actually been living in one every day the past two months.
