I've been on Wegovy for a few months and only had trouble finding my dose once. Now I have new insurance and of course it won't cover it. Only covers Ozempic/Mounjaro with a pre auth but I do not have diabetes. I may go the compounding route. Anyone have a pharmacy/provider they recommend?
My insurance covers Ozempic for DH and me, even though we don't have diabetes. We got is using Sequence, and they were good about navigating all the pre-auths. It costs us about $25/month. You may see if your insurance will cover it.

I can recommend the one I'm going to use if my doctor ok's the compound, I assume they ship. The doctors I work with send a lot of prescriptions there so I know they're legit.
Not Wegovy, but Mounjaro. I started 7/21 and will probably hit -20lbs this weekend. I’m still astonished every day, and my clothes are starting to be too big. If you can get on a medication, I’d highly recommend it.
I'm definitely waiting on Mounjaro. My husband worked on some of the clinical trials and everyone was blown away by the success.

I have a friend at work who started Wegovy about 3 months ago. She didn't lose anything the first month on the starter dose but is now losing about a pound a week since she moved up to the next dose after 1 month.
I started Mounjaro last September and am down 100 pounds so far with another 27 to go.

Thank you! I might look into that. My endocrinologist has been great about helping me but won’t do pre auths for meds like Ozempic etc but I think it’s mostly because of supply issues and just wanting to follow “rules”. I am pre diabetic. My old insurance covered Wegovy no problem with a pre auth which they got for me but my new insurance doesn’t. Ugh
