DD has vague inclinations to some kind of clown but didn't like the costumes, so I think she is just going to pick something off of Amazon. I think she may go with one of the neighbors, and not sure what DS is doing in terms of activities.

10 year old is going to be cruella de vil, using her dance costume from last year. 14 year old is not sure yet. She doesn’t want to go trick or treating but her friends are pushing her to go with them.
Soon to be 12 year old is obsessed with Halloween and currently has at least 3 different costumes planned for different events.
One is for her horse barn-- she and the horse are dressing as a pun of the barn name. For her school halloween parade I think she is bringing back the inflatable chicken costume that she wore last year. For actual TOT she wants to be some type of police or army guy? I am very unclear on this one-- I think she has an actual character in mind.
She also has a halloween party to go and may come up with another costume for that.
My 15 year old on the other hand has never liked Halloween. He has one event that he wants to dress up for, but I think is just doing a very low key, Hawaiian shirt and lei outfit.
DD is going ToTing with 2 friends so some sort of group costume that changes weekly. I'm putting a hard deadline on a decision when we get back from October break so that we have time to order whatever the choice is, if needed (Schuyler Sisters is being tossed around).

Ds and his bff already ordered matching inflatable trex costumes and have big plans about where they are going. Dd wants an inflatable costume of some kind (she and ds were the alien abduction ones the past 2 years), but she hasn't even started looking yet at what's out there even though I keep telling her to. She is going with ds's bff's sister, who is dressing up as Taylor Swift.

I was trying to convince DS1 to be Rick Astley and be a live Rick Roll with a microphone and music which he thought was hilarious but now he says he doesn’t feel like wearing a suit. DS2 wanted to be a Sonic character so I was planning an 80’s family theme for trunk or treat.
DS2 changed his mind and got an inflatable velociraptor costume where it looks like he’s riding it. It’s hilarious! I’ll see if DS1 wants a full body T-Rex costume or we’ll all go as Jurassic Park employees for a Dino themed trunk or treat. DS1 refused to trick or treat last year.

10 year old DS is going as Roronoa Zoro from One Piece. I think he's most excited about the fact that I told him we could colour (i.e. spray) his hair green.
Nothing, she isn't into Halloween and hasn't dressed up since she was in 3rd grade. I have a couple adult size costumes in the closet that she could use if she decides to go out last minute.

DD was Cruella last year and asked me to go as Estella. I figured she wouldn't want to do that with me much longer, so I did. It was fun.
This year DD is 11 and is going as Gamora. DS is 13 and is really in that in between stage where he's way to cool to dress up but also he really likes candy... So he hasn't decided yet. My brother has a Halloween party every year and he has a theme. This year the theme is superheroes. DD suggested DS go as "Fart boy" but then she said, "Oh no wait, that's a villain."

DS (10) is going to be a Pokemon trainer since DS2 & DD (both 6) decided to go as Squirtle and Eevie. For school they do book character dress up day on the 31st so he's going as Percy Jackson. I got him a Camp Half-blood tshirt from amazon and he will do that with jeans and carry around a clicky pen lol.
DD (9) is still trying to come up with a cool homemade costume.
Last year she went as a TikTok frame and it was a hit when she went door to door. I had to rig the costume together together with cardboard boxes and too much money spent at Staples buying the right size poster.
All we have so far is "I don't want to shop at Spirit." Great, it would be much easier to just pay for a costume and be done with it!

DS(7) is planning on Batman right now. It might change to the Flash or Superman by Halloween. We have capes, face masks & long sleeve shirts/pants for each character.

My 12 year old is SO excited for Halloween this year. TOT is one of her "safe activities" that she could do after her transplant since she is still on strict isolation. Anything outside is fine. Our neighborhood definitely goes all out for Halloween. There are so many kids trick or treating. I THINK all the neighborhood kids are going together right now. That could change, but that typically is what happens.
Anyway, she is going as Stitch. She had other ideas before it, but they required her to have hair (and she doesn't) and then she was looking at costumes that have hoods to it. She has loved Stitch since she was 2 or 3. So it was an easy idea for her.
My 11 year olds and their friends came up with the most random group costume. DD1 is going to be one of those wavy arm tube guys, DD2 and a friend are going to be cars, and other friend is going to be the used car salesman. They want to get her the worst suit they can find at Goodwill, like the dad from Matilda. And since they're still interested in me joining them for group costumes, I agreed to be a sign spinner, so I'll make a big arrow sign out of poster board to carry around.
DD12 is going as the sun and moon with her best friend. She might wear something different to school with other friends though. It's very much up in the air.
DS14 isn't going, probably? He's not sure yet. I think he might be over it.
DS is 13, I think this is his last year. For those with kids 14+/ high school what do they do on Halloween? Designated hand out candy? Small group of high schoolers at your house with pizza/ bonfire? Nothing?
