I have the optional third row in my Nissan Pathfinder. My brother said it's comfortable for short rides, but wouldn't want to be there for more than a couple of hours.
lilafowler I use my car when we got on trips with my parents. My uncle who is disabled also lives with them half the year. And my brother likes to tag along if the parking situation is too cumbersome for him to take his own car. So 7 of us when the whole fam ventures out lol.
How many people are in your family that you need 3 rows?!
I don’t care if your kid plays sports or plays the tuba or is the school mascot-that’s what a trunk is for. This mindset is part of the problem with this American/Canadian obsession with gigantic redonkulous cars.
Tall people all over the world with large families manage in modest size vehicles. And yes I know they have better transportation infrastructure in other places but come on.
Even when I only had three kids, we couldn’t get all the car seats across in my husband’s car.
I’m not sure what options there are for four car seats other than a third row.
We have a 2023 Honda Pilot and I think there is a TON of space in the 3rd row. My 5'6" teenager usually sits back there and doesn't complain, even on long trips.
We previously had a 2008 Highlander, and there is SO MUCH more room in the Pilot!
