I booked April break a while ago, we are flying to my in-laws in Florida and then DH and I are leaving the girls with the grandparents and going to key west for a few days and staying at the hotel where our wedding was which will be really nice.
Iāve been trying to make plans for February break - we are in the northeast and Iāve been looking at places in NH and the Berkshires for a short mid week trip but I canāt make a decision. DH also mentioned Boston or NYC as options last night. We need to figure it out cause itās so soon.

We booked it last year during spring break and actually have 2025 booked also. Weāre doing cruises. We love it because the kids can go to kids club and so it feels like a vacation for everyone instead of just a family trip. š
MH is pushing hard for a spring break trip. We have gone the last 2y. I feel that we need to spend that $ on stuff for our house that needs attention. Is it fun to get new garage doors instead of going on spring break? Not really, but sometimes it's necessary.

We finalized our spring break plans a couple of months ago. We are going to FL, and staying the same town (and even same condo complex) as some friends. Most of the families are from DS's travel baseball team, but the team has been together for so long, that many of the families are friends. So I'm sure the boys will play some baseball together among other activities (going to the beach, go carts, golfing, etc.). DD will have one friend, the sister of one of DS's friends. I haven't heard if any of her friends will be in this same town or another town close by...I need to check with those families.

I actually just started looking into this yesterday because we realized dh asked for the week the kids have off like he does every year, but this year he actually got it off for the 1st time, so we might as well take advantage of it even though ds is going on a band trip the day after Easter lol.
I was thinking the Keys but have never been...anyone want to start me off by pointing me in the right direction by telling me where you fly into if you are planning on staying somewhere in the Keys (my friend suggested Key Largo but we didn't get as far as discussing flights).

When we went to the Keys we flew into Miami and out of Fort Lauderdale (we fly on points so this was a better deal for us at the time). We stayed in Marathon and Iād recommend Marathon because itās in the middle so you can get everywhere in the Keys pretty easily and there was quite a bit to do in Marathon itself.
We live on the west coast and havenāt been back to the east coast to see family in a long time. It is difficult and expensive to fly all our little kids cross country, but weāve done several other fun trips since weāve gone back, so weāre starting to feel guilty.
So for spring break, weāre going to do part vacation and part family visit. Weāll fly from SoCal to meet my sisterās family in Hilton Head for spring break (we know it wonāt be super warm/beachy, but thatās ok) and then weāll fly north for a long Easter weekend (MD/DC area).

Can't decide here either. We toyed with going to DC for spring break but we have a lot of travel in the first half of 2024, so I'm not sure I want to dump any more money into a trip right now. DD1 and I are going to Disney for dance nationals next month, we have weekend trips in February and March, and another trip to Orlando in June. So, we may just stick around town and maybe do a quick 1- or 2-night getaway nearby for spring break because I fear we're going to be traveled out and like the downtime. But, it feels like everyone we know goes on extravagant trips every break, so I'm sure we'll have FOMO. Ha.
Midwinter break (a full week here) is Disneyland with my dad and some friends so we can do the VIP tour for only an arm and a leg instead of an arm, two legs, and the fillings out of my teeth. We're only doing two days at Disney, and then doing some other sightseeing and visiting friends.
Our spring break lines up with the solar eclipse. The kids and I are flying to Texas to see it with my sister and her family, and then flying to Atlanta so I can visit my high school and talk to their Math Team, which just restarted.
H is a CPA so spring break is usually a one-woman show. Last year I wrote a bunch of fun local activities on slips of paper and had the kids pick something from a jar each day. Activities ranged from the trampoline place to a library visit, all low-ish cost stuff I could manage on my own.
April break always overlaps with the tax deadline so again we can't travel, but we will visit my parents in CT whenever his work wraps up.
I've thought about taking the kids back to Disney World since I refuse to go there in the summers. They've both been talking about little things they remember and I love hearing that from them. That way in the summer we could do a car trip to Ontario, Quebec, or maybe even both.
We have February break and April break here. February break is for college tours this year, and April break DS1 canāt travel due to track. Whomp whomp. Iāll likely go to Florida with DS2 for a few days to visit my dad, maybe do a day at Disney or universal.
High school juniors in sports basically means no fun travel lol
Our plan is to spend 6 nights in NC (close-ish to Asheville). This is actually a rescheduled Airbnb stay from last summer. My not quite 2 year old at the time was going through a very intense homebody phase and we were sick so often this year we ended up not traveling. Based on all that Iām not entirely convinced our spring break trip will even happen. š¤·š»āāļø We can only hope!
ETA: Scratch that. Weāre trying to save money so cut our trip down to 4 nights and weāre going to Chattanooga instead. Accommodations were half the cost and I think the kids will enjoy the options more. The only thing that gives me pause is that itās a longer drive. Lots of screen time for the kids I guess.
Iām going to be on an extended work TDY and wonāt be able to get home for spring break because my home trip is for Eās birthday weekend later in April.
Thankfully we hadnāt finalized spring break because we were debating Natural Bridge or Asheville. Asheville still has park land closed though.
Weāre doing universal in June for Eās elementary graduation.

Year #3 we will be in Orlando for a swim meet during spring break š Usually we do Universal, but since we have Disney annual passes this year as well we are going to do Disney š¬ we never go during crowded times so I guess weāll see how it goes!
We've done 2 nights at Great Wolf Lodge Cincinnati for the last 2 spring breaks. We will probably do it again because the kids love it and it's easy. Bonus, we can check off a visit to great grandma in that city as well. We have 2 big trips right after, Austin for a wedding at beginning of May and then we leave for our big vacation cruise at end of May. If not for those, I would consider DC for spring break. It's on the list for one of these years.
We have February break before spring break. We are going to Turks and Caicos for February break. No plans for spring break though.
Where are you staying? Iām dying to go to Turks and Caicos. We went on a cruise and loved it.
We are staying at a vacation rental in Long Bay Hills called SunSeaSand. My parents, a couple of my uncles, my aunt, and one of my cousins are staying in a big house on the beach a few minutes away from us. And my brother and SIL are staying in another rental in the SunSeaSand complex. On Providenciales. Itās sort of a big family trip to celebrate my parents turning 60, my youngest brotherās 5th wedding anniversary and my middle brother turning 40. We havenāt been able to convince my middle brother to come yet though. The rest of us fly on miles, but he doesnāt for reasons and the plane tickets arenāt super cheap for a family of 4.
Iām so excited. We usually do trips not so much vacations. This will be more a vacation vibe. My oldest DD is starting college in a few weeks so we are leaving her behind this time which is a bit of a bummer.

You are celebrating his 40th and he won't even be there? Love it! You need to bring a framed picture of him to have in all the photos you take.
