klassygoosey, have you reported this to your provider? Those side effects may or may not be related and you might need to get checked out. Do you have abdominal pain or anything? I'd at least want some labs to make sure your organs are okay. Please contact your provider and talk to them about this.
PCP ruled it anxiety. Doubled my ozempic dose. Is thrilled at my progress.
I'm awaiting a telehealth appt via Amazon clinic to talk about acid issues because I don't think it's just anxiety.
Anyone flown with these meds internationally? Looking for any advice! I'll need to fly with 2 pens to Costa Rica.
It depends on the medication. I know that Mounjaro (and I assume Zepbound) can be unrefrigerated for 21 days before it loses potency. I would read the manufacturer insert that comes in the box to be sure.
ETA: For TSA purposes, you just need to have it in the box and have your prescription sticker on there, I think. You can take it with you since it's a prescription.

I flew to Mexico with mine and my husband's in my purse (we take ozempic which is good out of the fridge for 56 days). I did not bring the boxes. Nobody said a word. To be safe, maybe take the box with you? But I don't think you will have a problem.
I did my 2.4 injection in my stomach this week and have never been that sick the entire time I've been on the drug. I will switch back to thigh injections.

Joining in with an AE. Not a super frequent poster but I know people IRL that go here.
Started on Mounjaro 2.5 yesterday. Got lucky and found one in stock somewhere after calling 15 places. I am Type2 and have been on insulin for about a year and a half because I was >10 A1C when I was diagnosed. Hoping to lose around 50lbs hopefully to help with my BP and just health in general. I honestly have no idea how I would look/feel at that weight because I have always been >200 as an adult. My endo doesn’t think he’ll be able to go above 5 because I require super low doses of insulin but even if I can lose slow and steady I will be ecstatic. I have fluctuated a bit since I was diagnosed but have definitely leaned into cheese too much to fill the low carb void.
Does anyone have experience with trying to get permission to fill these earlier and/or what your doctor advised if you couldn’t get it filled. I still have insulin so I could switch back to that but am hoping to avoid going back and forth. We are leaving for a trip the day I would take the first injection from the next box (I know not great timing if he moves me up. I should have waited a week to start).
9.2 lbs lost as of today, woo hoo! I started 0.5 on Saturday and I definitely see more of an effect on my appetite with this dose. Non-scale win, I was able to wear a pair of jeans I haven’t fit into in probably 4 years.

I have been getting my Saxenda in Colombia so it always flies. And then I took it on a trip to Italy recently. The first time I got it in Colombia, I carried the (Colombian) prescription back. The other two times, my husband or friends has brought it back without prescription. We have packed it in checked luggage in a cooler. No issues.
When I took it to Italy, I packed it in my carry-on with an ice pack. I had the prescription also.
No one has ever noticed or cared on any of the trips.

Does anyone get their meds from Henry Meds or Mochi or any of the others advertised on FB? I am using Saxenda which I get out of the country cause my insurance pays for zero weight loss meds. It works but it is much slower than Wegovy. It is also stressful hoping I can have someone bring it to me, so I am thinking of trying one of the Facebook ad places, but not without real person feedback!

I did and it was fine. I found somewhere less expensive. Can't comment on the new provider yet.

My mom is starting MJ tomorrow. She finally got an rx from her weight loss doctor. She also has DM2, which I was surprised that they were so reluctant to prescribe it to her.
Anyway, I gave her a bunch of tips and tricks. It'll be interesting to see how she responds to it. She is very eager to see results.

I use Henry Meds. No issues. I’ve been using it for over a year (on maintenance now) so I’m grandfathered in to a cheaper cost.

I just took my fourth Mounjaro 2.5 shot last night. I am down ten pounds which is surprising since I wasn’t expecting the 2.5 to do much. DH and I have stopped drinking during the week for the most part which I’m sure helps. I was really nauseous the first four days of my first dose when I ate or drank anything but haven’t had any other side effects.
I am T2 and am on a lowered dose of Levemir and my blood sugar has been running on the lower side (but not bad low). I haven’t been eating all the carbs I’m supposed to but I will definitely have to once I move up to 5. Staying on 2.5 for another month and it’s already filled so yay because I had to call 15 places before I found someone that could fill my first box.

I also use Henry Meds. Just started my first dose on Wednesday, $297/mo. It's been seamless so far. Had my appointment and 48 hours later my stuff arrived. So far so good. I was really nervous about injecting myself, but it was no big deal.
I also just started on henry meds this week. One reason I chose them is they have an active fb and reddit group I could lurk on. Safety was a big concern for me and being able to read non-moderated experiences was helpful for me to become comfortable.
So far so good. I was very happy with the customer service experience.
Agree w joining the Facebook groups, I'm in 2. There's a few good ones on reddit too, one for just semiglutide that I thought was good and a Henry meds specific one.
I've been on the fence for awhile, but the thing that finally pushed me over was Oprah leaving WW. I'm not sure the exact background there, but it convinced me these meds are worth a try.
I take my 3rd dose of 0.5 tomorrow and already have 1.0. The 1.0 was filled immediately, so hopefully that’s a good sign and I won’t need to stress each month about where I will find it.

I finally started 7.5mg MJ last night and woke up feeling so good! Why the heck did I wait so long?! I can tell that the appetite suppression and food noise reduction is back and I am not having any bad nausea or anything so far. We'll see if fatigue hits me hard or anything, but so far so good. I'm hopeful that my loss will start again (I've been at the same/gained a bit for the last month or so), yay!
Checked in with my mom - I think she was hoping to have the near-immediate food noise reduction like I had when I started. But she has DM, so I'm thinking it might take a little longer for her to get to the same point. She's going to need a lot of encouragement.
ETA: Down 1.1lbs this morning! I finally broke my stall and I'm now in the 160s!

I had a NSV this weekend. MH and I went to an irish restaurant on Saturday with family for St. Patrick's Day and I knew everyone would be dressed in St. Patrick's day stuff. DS has an adult medium shirt so I grabbed that and I was able to wear it comfortably. I was shocked. I had to stretch it a tiny bit, but I couldn't believe I didn't look like a stuffed sausage.
ETA before starting the meds I was wearing a womans XL which was snug. I have really seen a noticeable change in my torso since starting.
I have not lost weight the last 2 weeks, or maybe 1 lb at most, however, I am suddenly feeling my clothes fitting a lot differently.
Last April I tried on a pair of jeans (zero stretch) in a size 12. They zipped up but I could barely move. My goal was to fit into those jeans comfortably and wear them.
I wore them this weekend and needed a belt to keep them up. I bought pants in size 10 and feel like I am finally at the goal that I wanted but now I need to work with my therapist on my mental health as I keep telling myself I still look "fat" or focusing on the negatives. I can see how this can become a slippery slope.

I'm going to sneak something in here that's mostly related - I need to buy a wedding dress, but I don't know what size to get or how to project what to get. In 8 weeks I'm down 21 lbs. How do I do this? I need the dress by Thanksgiving.
