I would also like to side-eye the pregnant friend who posts every other day with an update on her cervix. I do not need nor care to know about how many centimeters you are dilated. Yick. I would love to block her, but I need to know if her second baby will be as funny looking as the first.

I have hidden most of the real gems, but always have some over-sharing baby nastiness - While Stan was changing Baby's diaper- Baby decided it was time to pee, poop and spit up! Luckily Stan had positioned the diaper appropriately and only needed help cleaning up the spit up. Oh the joys of having a newborn!
Just this: "Really needing some prayer today..." I only have a couple "vaguebookers" on my friends list, and this person definitely tops the list. She posts something like this at least weekly. No one seems to take the bait anymore. :Y:
Because it's a condition...which is unconstitutional. It's no better than the poll tax of yore which was designed to prevent the lower class from voting.
My state has the voter ID law and there was a big thing in 2008 about several nuns not being able to vote because nuns don't generally have a driver's license, apparently.
But you're not required to have a driver's license. Just a photo ID. A tax requires you to spend money to vote; having an ID which adults should have anyway is not. You should have to prove who you are otherwise I could go up there as myself, my neighbor, my sister.....

Should have an ID and constitutionally required are two very different things. And state issued photo IDs aren't free. The very poor and the elderly often do not have the funds or the physical means of transportation to the DMV, time off work to wait in line, etc.

The very poor and elderly typically don't work "business hour" jobs. When I lived in poverty, I never had to take off work to accomplish daily tasks because I was off some daytime hours every week from working weekends. Also, isn't this more urban areas crying about this kind of thing and they have public transportation. We don't have public transportation where I live though, so I'm honeslty not sure how that all works.
Wow. I don't have too much drama on my Facebook feed. The most side-eye worthy thing I see are horrible grammar and spelling errors. I have between 10-15 people hidden from my feed because I can't stand their posts.

So all very poor people work those hours? And our transit is $3 each way. $6 is a lot of money for a lot of people to go get an ID. A lot would skip it.
A new one just popped up - "Comedy for a cause" featuring a local singer who is apparently branching out into comedy. Sounds cool, right? Then in small print "cause we're broke." Side effin eye

i don't have any juicy or crazy posts on my FB feed- my friends must all be normal/boring
one friend, who has 2 young boys and is divorced, posts nothing but pictures of her and her friends at bars and drinking on boats, in bikinis, with their huge fake boobs. it makes me sad that she seems to need so much validation about her body (which is great)... and rarely posts photos of her 2 sons. That's as juicy as it gets.

I wasn't required to show any type of ID when I registered to vote (in high school), so how can they turn around and say that I'm required to show ID when I actually show up to vote?
I have a friend who regularly hits the trifecta of awful--a very messy, all over Facebook divorce; direct sales; and guilt trips over not supporting her business
"As many of you know, I'm starting my life as a new single mommy and I need your support during this very difficult time! Come check out the newest Scensy and Lia Sophia lines! It's great to know I can count on my REAL friends!" (Not the actual products)
Nothing side-eye worthy today. I think the worst I've ever seen on my feed is stuff posted by my cousin.
I just went to her page to find an example of "I need a man, not a boy that thinks he is" (because those tend to be her updates) but found a freaking picture of her 16 year old sister drinking a beer with a proud caption under it.

this one posts vague things about missing someone, heartbreak and things all day long...and then she pops up with this tonight:
"FYI: Just because I post shit that implies I'm sad, mad or heart broken doesn't make it reality...I post whatever I want whenever I feel like it. Typically because it applies to somebody that doesn't mean I'm the somebody. So thanks for assuming as usual, but I'm doing just fine & yes actually I'm really happy with my life, my relationship, my friends & myself. Smh, don't read so far into everything I post, this is facebook get use to it. (btw, the real posts are directed at specific ppl & they're the only ppl that will know what's true & what's not so stfu now thanks.)"
Someone I know from high school posts the dumbest shit ALL THE TIME. She updates at least once per hour.... and she has 3 kids, one of which is a newborn. I don't know how she has time to care about facebook.
Anyway, I have her blocked from coming up on my newsfeed but here are some gems from her wall:
To ALL the men who say they want a girl who will fix them a sandwich after sex: If she is capable of walking or even thinking rationally after sex then you have NOT earned a sandwich!!! #ThatIsAll
Only person I'm in competition with is myself...every day is a mission to be more badass than yesterday...so far so good!
That awkward moment when you're checking yourself out in the window of another car and realize there's somebody inside >.< oops....my bad lol but on another note #DamnILookGoodToday
Just a reelection thought ,As the President of this Great Nation travels from east to west and north to south He campaigns on the Taxpayers money ,using it for transportation and protective services ,Why then are all the Hollywood Pimp friends of his asking for reelection donations ,
I love when people are stupid. Tax dollars funding campaigning? haha.
It does happen. It shouldn't happen, but it does. Obviously I don't think these are examples of this - the campaign pays campaign travel and SS is authorized - but this is far from an impossible suggestion particularly for non-presidential candidates.

My FB feed got a lot less crazy after my cousin's ex-wife unfriended me. She deleted all the rest of he family right away, but forgot about my sister and I since we had different last names. It was sad and hilarious what she'd post about my cousin.
Most side-eye-worthy is unknown, because I'd have to research, but I am rolling my eyes at the new mom of twins who keeps posting about being outnumbered. Multiple times a day, she posts something along the lines of, "Two of them, one of me!" You're queen of the world. Amazing. Nobody's ever done this before. And certainly not while also on FB constantly.
We have a friend (late 30's) whose life is a very predictable cycle. ---Whoohoo! it's wing night/beer night/party night at X Bar, who's in? ---(next day) I'm so sorry for any drama I caused ---(about 3 days later) I see how it is now, at least I know who my 'real' friends are
Every 2wks or so. He's a nice guy, so it's sort of sad. But every time DH and I see it, it's eye-roll worthy.
And I really can't wait until the election passes and the stupidity hopefully calms down a bit. My BIL is a union fireman married to a union school teacher, and it's a constant 'anybody but Obama' message. I don't understand how the heck that logic works.
