I wear underwear and sleep pants or shorts, as well as a 'sleep bra' (super soft bralette/sports bra) and pj top. I shower in the morning, and I don't change my underwear at night usually. I do go through 2 pairs of underwear a day though...I shower 1st thing, and then I work out late morning (usually around 9/9:30), so after working out I do a quick rinse (but don't wash my hair again) and then put on clean clothes including fresh underwear.

Mostly just underwear. Occasionally a tank top or just pj shorts, never mouth together, or a nightdress. No rhyme or reason why I occasionally change it up.
I've done this since I was a teen. Nothing needs to breathe (never heard of this, btw) since I only wear cotton. My parts are just fine, thank you.
I either wear underwear and a tank top or leggings/sleep shorts with no underwear that I only wear once. Essentially, one layer on bottom. I don't really have nightgowns; I move a lot in my sleep and they bunch up. I'd rather sleep naked.
Summer-I wear men’s boxers to bed with a tank top, no underwear. Fresh boxers every night.
Rest of the year-I shower before bed, clean underwear, pj pants
I shower most mornings too and change my underwear then. If I don’t shower, I still change my underwear every morning. So, 2 pairs of underwear each day.
Sleeping in a bra sounds like my own version of hell. Granted, I’m not very well endowed so that might make it easier. But bra comes off the second I get home lol.
I always wear underwear to bed, typically with pajama bottoms. Once in a great while, I'll wear a nightgown or just the underwear, but underwear is a must.
I don't usually change it at night, but I would if I felt dirty. In that case, though, it's likely I'd also shower, and I always put on fresh underwear when I shower (or in the morning, even if not showering for some reason).
My husband wears boxer briefs to bed, often with a tshirt but sometimes without. I don't care to sleep next to a free-flying penis, so this works well for me/us.
Before my ablation I sometimes had to wear a tank with a shelf bra to bed because the boobs were sore.
My kid knows we sleep naked, she also doesn’t sneak into to sleep with us. If we cuddle it’s before everyone is in bed for the night so we have lounge clothes on.
I wear my Athleta Hustle shorts to bed every night. They have built in underwear. They are so light and comfortable, I pretty much live in them when at home, and even sleep in them!
Ok douche, go ahead and call it mud. My husband DID have halitosis. We addressed it after I talked to you girls on here and guess what? Years later, no problem. Mofongo, you're a cunt. Eat shit. ~anonnamus
I stopped wearing underwear at night because I was waking up to adjust it too often. I wear a big shirt, half a week. In winter, I'll add long johns. I shower in the morning so everything is clean when I start my day.
I am asking because I grew up in a "absolutely never wear underwear to bed, you must let your vagina air out" house. But as I age my pajama pants are... not fresh... with no underwear. But i don't want to have to buy 7 pairs of pajama pants.
Maybe nightgowns are the answer.
I would say if you don’t wear underwear and wear pj pants, then they should be changed every night.
I could not imagine wearing anything twice down there, but I’ll also say I’m super paranoid about smell, moisture, and cleanliness of that area.
No one else thinks about what if there was a fire in the middle of the night? Just me? I wear a t-shirt and pj pants/capris with underwear while sleeping because I don't want to run outside naked if my house is on fire. No I have never had a house fire. I do live in an area with wildfires though.

Currently in a pajama crisis, lol.
As a kid, pj's for 2 nights (provided I wasn't playing or sweating in them) no undies, which is what I encourage with my kids. Clean undies with nightgowns.
Older, slept naked.
Since having kids, I tend to sleep in a tee and undies, in case I need to get up for anyone. Usually clean underwear, so, yeah, I guess I do go through 2-ish pair a day. Huh.
I wish I liked nightgowns, but they usually end up too fabric-y around me. I get too hot in pants usually. I guess it is what it is.
No underwear, pants, wear them more than once. As for cleanliness, I shower before bed every single night. We all have our habits. I could not fathom getting between the sheets with the dirt of the day on me, clean underwear/pants or not.
Camisole, no undies. I would sleep naked, but for middle of the night kid wake ups, it's too difficult to pull on a top and bottom quickly. So my compromise is a top with pajama bottoms at the ready.
I've never heard of the airing out of vaginas at night, lol. Do vaginas need to air out? I think I'm good.
I’m not saying this is science based but years ago when women would wear hose or tights made of tight synthetic fabrics that trap moisture all day the idea was to take a break from that and allow better air flow when you slept.

I stopped wearing underwear in college bc word was “the vagina needed to breathe” 🤣 All I know is it’s much more comfortable so the habit stuck.

Someone once told me that if you wear underwear to bed, you’re more likely to get yeast infections. I have no idea where she heard that though, and that has not been my experience anyway!

Naked unless I have my period or it's freezing (my H is a hot sleeper) - if cold, then I'll wear something warm on top with underwear, if I'm on my period, underwear only.

I think I’m institutionalized from being in the military, where in training there are “minimum clothing standards” that are basically shorts and a t-shirt with appropriate undergarments. I don’t think a bra is necessarily required, but I definitely wore one.
For everyone saying they wouldn’t want to sleep in a bra, most of us are wearing something like this that is super-soft and stretchy that offers very minimal support. For me, I hate the sensation of fabric rubbing against my boobs, so wearing even a super-thin bra prevents that. A tighter cami tank would work too.
I shower every night, then put on fresh underwear (& bralette, I guess it’s called? because I can’t stand the feeling without one). Regular pajamas, then I change my underwear again in the morning when I get ready for work. I re-wear the bralette and pajamas for a few nights before changing to a new set.

Ohhhh, okay. That's not something I'd considered. I'm very fortunate in that I have never had to deal with yeast infections at this point in my life so am totally ignorant to all of that
