Yes this! I still have the kit I got for college on the advice of my uncle's partner and now it lives in my office at work. So so helpful!
Was it called the "Do-It-Herself Kit" by any chance? Mine was, and they were all light blue. Years ago H through away the box (I still haven't forgiven him) but I still have most of the tools.
No, it was just a random one I think we got at like Sears or something.

One of my favorite grad gifts was a box of nice "school" supplies. Post-its, nice ink pens, really good scissors with my name of them (I still have to this day! Would love to figure out how to get more to gift) stapler, etc etc. Question- do college kids still use supplies like this? Or is it ALL electronic?
The is similar to the tool box which I think is also a great idea, just perhaps a bit more common.
Interesting topics in regards to what's outdated. I'm going to hold off on anything that may have moved to touchless/electronic. lol
I'm actually curious if they even have real books. In high school, majority if their text books were in their chrome books/online.
Before I started my MBA I bought all kinds of highlighters, sticky notes, and cute notebooks. I haven't used a one. All my material is online and on the rare occasion I take notes, I use my iPad.
I should have read the comments before I posted. I guess there is my answer lol!
