I just got a crock pot a few weeks ago and have used it twice. Both recipes have been from websites with lots of positive reviews and I haven't been impressed. They were just alright. Any suggestions for good recipes?

BBQ sandwiches. Put 3lb pot roast in the crock pot - add salt and pepper and one bottle of BBQ sauce. We use Stubbs. Cook on low for six to eight hours.
Drain off the grease/sauce, shred the meat with forks and put it back in the crock pot. Add a new bottle of BBQ sauce and warm it through. Eat on kaiser rolls, buns, whatever. It's the YUM!
chicken tacos: chicken breasts, packet of taco seasoning (should say "try with chicken!" on it)
chicken broth: bones/carcass, splash of vinegar, peppercorns, salt, garlic, onion, carrots, celery (I save the end pieces of root vegetables in a freezer bag when I chop up vegetables for other stuff)
I've used mine twice, with a 50/50 result. The first was a mexican salsa chicken that was really good. The other was a bbq pulled chicken. It was good, but I did not feel well at all after eating it. My poor husband had to eat the rest of it for a week.
Slow cooker Korean short rib tacos -- amazing! Cook the short ribs one day and then do the rest the next day. Probably some of the best tacos I've ever eaten. Topped with the carrot cucumber slaw, cilantro, and Sriracha
chicken taco soup-- one of our favorites. We use frozen corn and homemade frozen black beans instead of canned to help reduce the sodium. Great with Fritos.
Refried beans for fajitas, Texas bbq brisket, Irish or Beef stew. We have better luck with beef dishes than chicken, somehow the chicken always tastes bland and slightly dry

Would you mind sharing the brisket recipe, please?
BBQ Chicken, chicken & dumplings, salsa chicken, potato soup. I've liked everything I've tried in mine except for anything with pasta/noodles. They always take ick so I've given up trying.
Pulled pork, beef stew, salsa chicken, pot roast, and pork tenderloin. Basically any meat that can be braised for hours until tender. I'm not a fan of crockpot dishes with noodles - they are always overcooked and mushy.
I just saw something the other day that you can make baked potatoes in the crock pot. Just wrap in foil and cook on low all day. I haven't tried it yet, but it's such a good idea!
Salsa chicken, chicken and dumplings, chili, some soups, shredded chicken (to have on hand for other recipes), various chicken and rice recipes, meatballs, etc.
I love Not Your Mother's Slow Cooker as well as Fix It and Forget It. Between those two cookbooks I feel like I can make almost anything in the crockpot lol.
A lot of what we make has already been mentioned, so I'll only add new ones: - crock lot baked potatoes (awesome in the summer when you don't want to heat the whole house) - crock pot chex mix - crock pot breakfast frittata
I made a pumpkin white bean chili last week, and this week I'm attempting to cook a whole chicken in it. The chili was fantastic. I think it was a skinnytaste recipe.

I'm recalling from memory a bit:
3-4lbs of brisket beef, salt and pepper to season/taste 12oz (just under 1 bottle) Jack Daniels bbq sauce 3-4tbsp Worcester sauce 1 tbsp chili powder 1 tbsp minced garlic (we love garlic, I might be more generous) 1 tbsp liquid smoke
I put it on low for 8hrs, and it usually warms for 1-2 hrs before we get home from work.
