1. How far along are you? Any milestones this week? 7 weeks 4 days. We heard the heartbeat on Monday!
2. News/AWs/vents to share?
3. QOTW - Has anyone said anything obnoxious to you since you got pregnant? Advice or comments about your pregnancy? My mom has accused me of hiring a midwife instead of a doctor (not true and midwives aren't even granted hospital privileges in New York state) and told me two midwife horror stories. She also told me not to be "those people who bring babies to concerts." It's going to be a long 7 months + 18 years.

1. How far along are you? Any milestones this week? 6.5 weeks
2. News/AWs/vents to share? Just non-stop nausea, with my first puke this morning. yay
3. QOTW - Has anyone said anything obnoxious to you since you got pregnant? Advice or comments about your pregnancy? SIL (who is young and has never been pregnant) gave me the third degree about what I can and cannot eat (thanks, doc). MIL is insisting that we will get an ultrasound at our appt next week even though my doctor says that I will not (she did when she was 7 weeks! she knows!). We told my parents and they were great. My mom said that she didn't suspect it, but that she had noticed that I was getting "busty" and called the next day to tell me that now that she thinks about it, I was starting to look fat. LOL.
2. News/AWs/vents to share? I am doing that hair elastic trick on my jeans today because it hurts to button them up. However, my shirt isn't super long and keeps riding up, so I just look like a person with their pants undone. Professional!
3. QOTW - Has anyone said anything obnoxious to you since you got pregnant? Advice or comments about your pregnancy? No, but very few people know yet. My mom did ask if my clothes were getting tight in the belly and the chest (barf).
Maybe she's onto you because that's a weird question. I layer all my shirts with a long tank underneath them so I don't have gut issues so now that I'm pregnant it's even more useful.

I really doubt your MIL got an ultrasound at 7 weeks 28 years ago. LOL
1. How far along are you? Any milestones this week? 16 weeks 2 days
2. News/AWs/vents to share? I just really want to stop dry heaving. It happens all the time, out of the blue with no warning. I hardly ever throw up, I just dry heave. It's embarrassing.
3. QOTW - Has anyone said anything obnoxious to you since you got pregnant? Advice or comments about your pregnancy? Not really. I get annoyed when people say they are going to buy my baby things they know I hate like giant flower headbands. I tell them to go ahead and waste their money because I'll be throwing the trash into the garbage can...I know, I'm rude.
1. How far along are you? Any milestones this week?
28 Weeks. I just now realized that I am in my 3rd trimester already. Wowsers.
2. News/AWs/vents to share?
My shower is next weekend. DH will be putting up the crib then too. Yay.
3. QOTW - Has anyone said anything obnoxious to you since you got pregnant? Advice or comments about your pregnancy?
My grandmother commented on how I have gained "so much less weight this time, because last time I was already huge by this point". Uh, thanks, I guess?
2. At this time next week, our baby will be here. I cannot get over this horrible cold. I'm miserable.
3. Nothing too obnoxious. Just lots of "your life is going to get really crazy with 2 boys" comments. And "You're so little, can't believe you're at the end of your pregnancy" kind of stuff. Thanks, but believe me when I say I'm at the end and ready for this baby to come.
2. Baby's heart and fluid look back to normal after stopping a medication last week. Relieved is an understatement. Also got permission to play with the dose of my contraction medication a bit on my own to hopefully make side effects more tolerable.
3. Lots of "size" comments. Not commenting is better than ever commenting on a pregnant woman's size, big or small. Contrary to popular belief, it can be hard to gain weight on bedrest. You lose a ton of muscle mass.
1. How far along are you? Any milestones this week? Nearing 20 weeks! We ordered most of the large, non-furniture items for our nursery. Rug, art, contoured changing pad and cover, fabric for curtains, etc.
I have my fetal echocardiogram on Tuesday. I'm nervous. I also hope it doesn't get cancelled due to the storm, as it's taking place at a hospital in a town that is still more than 50% without power.
2. News/AWs/vents to share? Movements are getting stronger, but still mainly happen at night. Baby boy CloudBee is really active in the evenings and when I get into bed. My husband is funny about putting his hands on my tummy to feel movement. It's really a waiting game right now, waiting for him to kick, and my husband is in a phase right now where I think it's weird because it's not an obvious jab from the outside.
3. QOTW - Has anyone said anything obnoxious to you since you got pregnant? Advice or comments about your pregnancy? My mom keeps throwing out annoying remarks in on the side. A week or two ago when we found out the sex and I excitedly told her it was a boy she said "I knew it was a boy, and I never thought you would want a girl, you just don't seem like that type". Um, what? I wear makeup and pearl studs most days, and often have my nails painted.
I don't know why it rubs me the wrong way, but these comments feel like jabs. I would have been equally as thrilled with a girl, and honestly am feeling slightly lost (though excited to learn) as I know far less about little boys.
2. News/AWs/vents to share? Not really. But I did book my first appointment with a Midwife that does both birth centers and home births. I have also set my up a meeting time for my Doula.
3. QOTW - Has anyone said anything obnoxious to you since you got pregnant? Advice or comments about your pregnancy? Nobody knows but my mom. I got a less than stellar congrats. She said she knew I was pg (I had just conceived) the last time she saw me because I was so tired. So thanks mom!
2. Had my first NST on Tuesday and the baby looked great! I have to do these weekly now, but I guess whatever it takes to make sure baby is healthy.
3. One person told me that the name we picked is an "old" name and reminds him of someone they call Shrek. Another told me when I found out I was having a boy, "Thank goodness. Girls are horrible." wtf. Just because she only had a boy I guess?
1. One day ahead of whatever my ticker says that I didn't bother to change based on my first ultrasound. So, a little short of ten weeks.
2. I had a dream I found out the baby stopped growing at the upcoming ultrasound. I just really don't feel pregnant anymore and haven't for a while. I generally don't worry too much about it, but guess it got to me last night. I wish I could pick up a heartbeat already with the stupid fetal doppler I bought.
3. My father found it necessary to use his extremely serious voice to repeatedly tell me how I need to take care of myself during this pregnancy, as if I'm some irresponsible idiot teenager. It's hard to convey in words why it was so insulting...kind of had to be there.

1. How far along are you? Any milestones this week?
30 weeks, 4 days
2. News/AWs/vents to share?
Regular heartburn, ugh. My mom is arriving from Cali tonight for a long weekend visit, yay! And we finally ordered furniture for the nursery. We have a crib, but needed a new dresser/armoire/changing table. Once they get delivered & set up, we'll be able to finish setting up & decorating the nursery.
3. QOTW - Has anyone said anything obnoxious to you since you got pregnant? Advice or comments about your pregnancy?
Nope, not so far. I regularly have people comment on how small I'm carrying but the doctor confirmed yesterday that I'm exactly on target size wise.
And I keep calling 2013 the year of the baby.... It seems like every week we find out more friends are pregnant. Right now we have 6 known babies due between January and June!
1. How far along are you? Any milestones this week? 15 weeks. Nope.
2. News/AWs/vents to share? I have a vent. I have had a super stressful week at work, haven't slept, have being dealing with various family stress related to my dad's ridiculously contentious pending divorce, etc. The stress and lack of sleep (plus hormones, I am sure) ultimately resulted in me having an emotional breakdown in my 50 year old male boss's office at like 9pm last night. I am mortified. It is so not like me to lose it at work! He was lovely about it (and even offered to try to get me a raise), but I kind of just want to hide under a rock. I guess the upside is that work knows about the baby now, so at least I can quit stressing about telling them.
3. QOTW - Has anyone said anything obnoxious to you since you got pregnant? Advice or comments about your pregnancy? A good 90% of the people we have told makes some gender related comment ("I hope it's a girl!" "I'll be praying for a girl!" "Maybe this one will be your girl!"). It is driving me nuts. We adore our boys and would be thrilled with another little guy, and it totally offends me that others would apparently be disappointed on our behalf. Of the remaining 10%, about half of those have made the "wow, you'll really have your hands full" comments or asked me how I will possible continue to practice law or whether we meant to do this. The remaining 5% I still like.
1. 34w1d. I don't think there were any milestones this week. 2. I am starting to get worried about being ready for motherhood in general. Oh and the labor part...I haven't been reading up on it as not to freak myself out. 3. Surprisingly I haven't heard anything that irritated me...well besides my doctor telling me I needed to lose weight (during my first prenatal appt)and I need to cut out all sugar and just need to get use to "being hungry" in order to lose weight (my Spanish OB told me this).
1. I am 25 weeks 2. DH put together the crib and my nursery is 90% done. I also may have ordered a ton of halo sleepsacks from zulily for my BFF and I this morning from my iphone since I didnt have computer access because the power is out. 3. I have heard from my mother that my aunt hates our name. I also was told by a coworker that by spelling Robyn with a y I am setting my kid up for confusion. I could care less. I wasnt going to tell anyone the name until I decided I dont care about what they think. That is her name and I am not changing it. I have also had people ask if there is another baby in there which I think is just plain rude. I am big but not that big. Amazingly my mother has been great and not said anything nasty to me. She has been my number one supporter.

1. How far along are you? Any milestones this week? 6w3d, no milestones except I started getting nauseous and dry heaving at 7:30pm every night, just like I did when I was pregnant the first time
2. News/AWs/vents to share? We had our first u/s this week, where they dated the pregnancy, and we got to see 1) it was just one baby (thank goodness) and 2) the heartbeat and the little bean moving around. So great and still such a shock/miracle/surprise
3. QOTW - Has anyone said anything obnoxious to you since you got pregnant? Advice or comments about your pregnancy? My aunt asked me with much disdain in her voice if we were "trying for twins again" when I told her as if we were trying for twins the first time around. We weren't trying for twins the first time. No one tries for twins (or at least they shouldn't). It was just an irritating thing to say.

1. How far along are you? Any milestones this week?
9 weeks and 4 days.
2. News/AWs/vents to share?
I'm getting really tired of not telling my friends. I keep wanting to mention it and talk about it with them. Especially at playgroup on Tuesday when one of the other moms announced that she is pregnant! I've only told my best friend (and our families). We're waiting until after the NT scan, which seems like it will never come (it's the Monday after Thanksgiving).
3. QOTW - Has anyone said anything obnoxious to you since you got pregnant? Advice or comments about your pregnancy
No, especially since we really haven't told anyone yet.
When I was pregnant with DD, I kept waiting for the obnoxious comments. For the most part I didn't get any, but there was this one woman who worked at the deli counter at my grocery store who made comments every week about my pregnancy. Things like -- You're going to breastfeed, right? You're not going to let the baby sleep in your bed, right? Very annoying.
1. How far along are you? Any milestones this week? 9w 6d
2. News/AWs/vents to share? I still feel bad that DD was sick Wednesday and was not able to wear her Halloween costume to daycare. She had been so excited. She was still feeling sick Wednesday night, but we decided to walk her down our street. She had fun.
3. QOTW - Has anyone said anything obnoxious to you since you got pregnant? Advice or comments about your pregnancy? No bad comment/advice yet. I don't really remember hearing one when I had DD.
