Did you vote early or absentee? Did you vote today, or are you planning to vote later in the day?
I got up at 5am to be at the polls when they opened at 6. In spite of the fact that there were not a huge number of people, every single person was in the last names A-L line. Seriously, what is it with those lazy M-Z voters who can't be bothered to get up early?
The whole process took about 20 minutes, and now I get to gloat all day about doing my civic duty!
As you saw on ML, I plan on walking over there later. It's across the street from my house. I can see when there aren't many cars in the lot. I am just hoping I don't throw up while I am there. Thanks, germ factory I call my kid, for passing your lovely virus to me.
Same here, Chirp, which is why I was convinced there would be enormous lines. Although considering it took us around 15 minutes just to get our ballots when there were only 10 people in line ahead of us, it's a good thing we didn't wait until later in the day!
Malibu, I hope the voting goes smoothly! At least you can spy on the polling place and be strategic with timing.
We're going after Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood. We usually go for a walk then, so it'll be a slightly longer walk with a stop at the church which is our polling place. I don't really anticipate lines, since we live in a state which is decidedly non-swing, with only boring offices and one school proposition on the local ballot.
My vote was cast by 7:45, no lines. Got to love the small town. Of course DD wanted to fill in the circles for me. I should have let her on one, neither candidate was worth considering.
Just got back a few minutes ago - whoohoo! Honestly, though, I'm glad I got out early/during the day. I think DH is going to have to wait a while when he goes after work.
I will be voting after work today. Polling locations don't open until 7:00 a.m. and I have to be to work at 6:30. The place I have to go is too far from work to go during lunch.
We were told that we can't take more than our 30 min lunch to vote, so after work it is! My polling place is only 2 blocks away so I can walk. We also have an 80% chance of rain, so I will be using my umbrella.
Polls opened at 6:30 this morning. My IL's took DD to school so I could get to the Poll early-ish. I was in and out in about 30-45 minutes and only a couple minutes late to work. DH is going as soon as I get home from work.
There were no GOP campaign (local, state, or federal) workers at my polling location, but that doesn't surprise me.
I just voted, I figured I'll spend my lunch going for a run. I was surprised our little polling place was PACKED. I was voter 505 this early in the morning.
I voted. It's rainy and cold here today so I got wet feet while waiting in line. I did have fun checking out everyone's colored umbrellas. I had to wait an hour.
I vote today. Our precinct splits in to A-K and L-Z. Almost everyone was L-Z. More populated precincts around here split more - A-E, F-L,M-R, S-Z or whatever. We just split in to 2. We used to have 2 precincts vote at the elementary school where we vote. They only let us use a very small parking lot at this school, no on street parking - it was a zoo. A year or so ago they move the other precinct out.
In our first house we voted at the little VFW hall 2 blocks from us. It was great, we'd walk over & take our little kids with us. The poll workers were neighbors, they loved seeing the kids. It was a friendly, family-type atmosphere. I never know any of the poll workers now.
This year or stickers are "I "heart" voting" stickers.
I just got back from voting. Waited to drop DD off at daycare, spied few cars in the lot and stopped. In and out in ten minutes. Now off to sleep off the ick I have.

I am waiting in line to vote. I can't vote absentee and I am regretting not voting early. I have never waited more than 10 minutes to vote and apparently its taking over an hour today.
Please tell me I'm not the only one who didn't get a sticker! I'm sad about it, but since I'm working from home I guess it isn't the end of the world.
Joaquin and I BOTH got stickers! Which is awesome, because the frozen yogurt place we love has a $1 off deal today if you go in wearing your sticker, holla.
