I actually thought her first post was very appropriate. I would not identify a celebrity that I met with or saw at work. If she weren't an employee it obviously would be different.

but you're a lawyer! Very different than someone coming in a restaurant, lol
Yes. Not the same thing. Thanks for coming back, OP. Sorry about your bad day
This is the stupidest thread. Just leave the dude's name up. Who are we trying to protect? YOu aren't telling us the name of the place you work.
ETA: Whoops! DIdn't see that she reposted. I don't even know who that is. I need to google. :/
You don't have to be an asshole. If he had been running around, giving autographs, acting like an attention whore, I'd have no problem posting it in the OP. He was obviously not that way, so I was simply sharing a fun story to distract me from an otherwise shitty night.

People get fired all the time for talking about celebrities at their workplace. Didn't J Lo just have an employee at a hotel fired for telling people she was staying there? I thought the OP was being appropriately cautious. There was no need for people to suggest she was being a tease for not leaving the guy's name up.

Whoa there home girl! I am not being an asshole! I was just saying this thread was stupid. How us that being an asshole!!

Sorry you are having a hard time. I don't know why people are being so crabby about this.
ETA: Someone got all up in arms on here a few months ago because I made a comment about seeing famous people and then wouldn't list them. So you aren't alone on this front. Some people are really being nasty for no apparent reason.
Geez people. Calm down. I didn't want to leave his name up, big fucking deal. I felt like he was super private, that's all. Just an attempt to be respectful. But I suppose I didn't say anything bad about him, so here. It was Andy Garcia.
Ohhhhhhhhhh fuck! I LOVE HIM! OMG. Inmight have had one of those accidentalgasms! Right. There.
It's just pointless and AWy to say 'ooh, I saw a really famous person, can't say who, though'. Meh. This is not directed at OP, just in general around these parts.
I work in a hospital, so obviously I would be violating privacy laws if I told people, but in a restaurant that is not being named? or out in public? I don't see the issue. It's one thing to say I saw JLo and another to say JLO is at such and such hotel, if you work there.
I just think celebrities deserve a degree of anonymity. I don't even know who this guy is, but it sounds like he didn't want attention. The OP said who he was then deleted it. She PM'ed anyone who asked. She explained she posted because she needed a distraction from bad stuff she was dealing with. I just don't think these criticisms are fair.
Celebs don't deserve privacy when it comes to visiting a restaurant. If you want to eat in peace and not be talked about on a message board, don't become a celebrity!
