My mom's brother is Fred (the III in fact -- it is a big name in the Dutch side of my family) and my aunt is Dale. That doesn't seem so different? Sibling names often don't match.

Madeline seems so formal to me and Freddy is a nickname and an Hispanic guy. Lol
the only weird thing to me is why they wouldn't give him the name Frederick and then just use Freddy as a NN. At least he'd have more options later in life.
My parents' dog is Frankie, and Freddy sounds close, so I see dog.

I was in a meeting at work and got introduced to a guy named Fred, and all I could think of was the dog, lol. Although I never seem to remember names and this one stuck with me

The only Freddies I have known have been caucasian. I went to college with a Freddie (Frederick) who was a Ninth, as in he had IX after his last name. Quite a long line of white Freddies.
