My building is holding an event tomorrow to showcase a tie tailoring company (you can have your too thick ties made into skinny ties!). That idea made me LOL.

-I had a wonderful weekend with my sister, BIL, niece and nephew. My niece thought the swingset in our backyard was a park. She kept saying that she wanted to play in "Auntie's park." So cute. -We finished our farmhouse table in time for Thanksgiving dinner and I'm very pleased with how it turned out. I will take some pictures and post an update tonight. -I am listening to Christmas music right now and having a second cup of coffee with peppermint mocha creamer.

This idea baffles me. If you have the money to do that, why not just buy new skinny ties? I guess you just like that pattern of that tie that much?
Happy early Birthday, RBP!
My happiness was hearing kind words about my work from my manager today during our monthly status sessions. That made me smile.
H and I got a King sized bed frame from IKEA this weekend for 90 bucks that is usually 250. We put it together last night and I love it! We still have our Queen mattress on it but will have a king mattress in the next few weeks. I'm so excited for more space!

I picked up the second to last thing I needed to finish my Christmas shopping last night. I will pick up a few small things for my girlfriends but that's being inspired by the under $5 gift thread.
I got hit on while waiting to checkout at the store last night.
I had a really fun dinner with a guy friend last night. We'll see where that goes.
I was able to answer a super complicated work question right off and it made my boss happy.
Today its been over a month since I was in the hospital and that's making me feel more confident in my healing and health overall. Like I'm going to get back to being me soon.

I'm so jealous! we still share a full and SO loves to cuddle, so sometimes I think I might murder him in his sleep. lol.
we need to upgrade but we're moving in six months and I don't want to get something that won't fit in our new place.
I'm debating about taking the week of Christmas off. The idea is so appealing and I'd make a little stay-cation out of it. Maybe a night or two in Park City. Decisions, decisions.
My birthday is in 2 weeks and my Vegas adventure is in 3 weeks!! December is going to be a killer month!!
ETA - Oh and Yellowcard is tonight!! I'm so ridiculously excited! I've been counting down this concert ALL month!!
One of my girls' night companions is presenting a CLE on social networking and such today (live in NY, and videoconferenced to our other US offices and anyone in our international offices who is interested).
She said that she has pictures of girls' night in her presentation as examples of "What not to post on Facebook."
I'm scared (because I know at least some of the photos she has of me), but I'm also LOLing about it.
I'm so excited that Friday is my last day of boot camp. I guess this is a happy wrapped up with a complaint because I'm so over getting up at 5am and then needing to go to another gym and shower before work. I am so excited to shower at home every day and sleep at least until 6. The boot camp has been sort of fun/good but this week has made me really glad it was only a 4 week thing.
My manager is suddenly being super nice to everyone. I got the rest if my job duties in addition to a few extras! I'm happy! She also complimented me on something I wore and told me that I'm doing a good job! Yay for medication!
I'm taking our "get rid of" books to a used book store this afternoon to sell them.
I _think_ I can fit them all in the car, but only if I shift the passenger seat to allow one of the tote bins to fit in the footwell. DH tried to limit the tote bins to <50lbs each when he was packing them, so hopefully I can haul them around by myself...
I've never sold used books, other than a couple textbooks in college. This should be interesting.
The happiness part: they will be gone from our house! Yay! A big pile of bins in the front room, gone!
We're having our first progressive dinner party with a bunch of friends in a couple of weeks. I'm so excited and I hope it goes smoothly!
What is a progressive dinner party?
Basically you have several courses to your meal just like a regular dinner party, but each course is hosted at a different house. It seems to work best if you can walk to each house but I don't live in a walkable area. However, each house that we are using are in the same neighborhood so I think it'll be fine.
We'll be having apps and cocktails at one house (we have two babysitters coming to that house...everyone will bring their kids and leave them there with the sitters and pick them up at the end of the evening). Then we're coming to our house for the main course, and then desserts and cocktails at a third house.
