OMG, I am so relieved that I am not the only one who still had it up. I hate cleaning with ds around though. It seems pointless. If I SAH my house would be even more disgusting. The only time I get any cleaning done is when he is sleeping (and then I can"t make a lot of noise) or when I come home and do it before I get him from DC.
My rugs are so gross right now because Sophie is scared to death of the vacuum cleaner, and I don't want to risk waking her up by doing it while she is asleep.
I never have any good judgments, maybe because I do so much judge-worthy crap.
I am not a fun person to smoke with. The first time my friend just wanted to watch How High, but I shut myself in her room and wrote a six page diary entry about moments of blackness and the time space continuum. Another time I cried in the kitchen because I thought my boyfriend was "looking at me with disdain."
Oh, there was the time I decided to make a spontaneous batch of coffee toffee (with candy thermometer and everything). It was awesome.
Of all the things I have worried about when it comes to raising a daughter, sucking her own tampon and posting it on the internet never even entered my mind.
She's great, though she drives me crazy sometimes. She is getting all of these teeth without much fuss, but she loses her shit if try to do a load of dishes.
Also, sometimes I think her lack of speech is just her messing with my mind, like I'll say "Soph, can you say 'mama,'" and she will just give me a pitying smile and throw stuff on the ground.
I assumed it was LJ, but I might be biased because I think she is an asshole.
Oh, and hai. I haven't posted in a billion years but I have a working computer now and I feel like being a bitch. And I might be on my fifth glass of wine. And by glass, I mean tumbler.
It's ok, everyone knows I have a very strong disliking for lj, it isn't a secret.
I had to stop reading that whole, "please don't GBCB, LJ!!!1!" thread. Of course she was coming back, she loves the dramz (and I'm sure she was loving all of that attention).
There are a couple peeps on the board that annoy me, but she is the only one I would really call a "drama llama."
Psst, drunk confession: Part of the reason I am a newbie is because my default setting is bitch and most of the time I try to keep it reined it.

I really don't think any regulars from our board would do that.
No, I don't think so either. Plus they have gotten more personal in their attacks. I have come to the conclusion that the FBers posting today really are that stupid and petty.
Pear, I'm sorry they are coming after you. You don't deserve this.
I don't post here often, but I hope you don't mind me jumping in.
I was starting to wonder if those AEs were actual FBers, or just people trying to make them look stupid, but I am pretty sure they are just that ridiculous.
I just got to the episode where Pacey fosts his tips. Gawd, I remember all the boys doing it in high school.
I had totally forgotten about the tip frosting trend, but the other day i was looking through a friend's yearbook (circa 2002), and half the guys had them in their senior portraits.
Girls: Matilda, Sophie, Josephine, Ramona. H vetoed Eloise, I vetoed Olive (because a friend has a daughter named Olive), and we both loved but vetoed Eleanor because it doesn't go with H's last name very well.
Boys: We didn't get far into discussing boy names since we knew we were having a girl. Top contenders were Arlo and Augustin. We also talked about Charles, Emil, and Thaddeus.
We have the same (amazing) taste in girl names.
We didn't have a girl's name picked out. I loved Olive (and it will be on the top of my list if we have another girl), but it just didn't fit her. We decided on Sophie on the day we left the hospital.
For a boy we had settled on Ian Henry. We both love the name Gus, but I don't know if we would actually use it.
I wish DC had been on Netflix in October, I would have watched that when I was up all night nursing. Instead I watched every season of Felicity (should have gone with Buffy - I blame it on those PP hormones).
Ha. Right now my daughter is wearing a lime green and white striped onesie that has a monkey dressed in purple on the front, and olive green pants. I won't complain, though, because SO got up with her this morning and let me sleep in!
This, of all posts, is bringing me out of my half-hearted PB lurkdom.
Mack, we also used to live very close to Coolidge Corner (before I got KU and we moved to the burbs). Did you get your bagels at Kupel's? SO and I went to see a baby matinee at the CC theater last week, so we stopped in for bagels. Gah, I miss those.
YES!! That's the place I am talking about. We lived right on the Allston/Brookline line, about a block from Comm Ave. Right across from that big Star Market.
Where did you live?
We lived right on Comm Ave. about 3 blocks from Harvard St. towards BC. There was a T stop in front of our building so I got to hear, "The destination of this train is Boston College" 8 bajillion times per day.
I used to live a half mile from there. It has one of the largest orthodox Jewish populations outside of NYC, I think. Also home to some of the best bagels ever.
