If you do this, go with red wine. With whites or Rose, you don't want to drink it if it's more than 2 years old.
Not necessarily true. A very good white can be aged for a while. But it is definitely easier to find reds that will taste fine after 2 years.
Our go to wine is Caymus Cabernet Sauvignon. The 2012 was phenomenal the year it was released and we only managed to get one bottle to drink in about 10 years.
You could also just buy bottles of good bubbly (my personal favorite is Schramsberg Blanc de Noir). It'll keep for at least 3-4 years if stored in good conditions.
Team Leggings-are-NOT-pants and also team United. Sorry, girls. Rules are rules.
ETA: Also I call totally bullshit on anyone who says they do not stink after a workout. Unless you're in the pool (and then you'll likely smell like chlorine), if you worked hard enough, you're going to smell like pachach.
Not to sidetrack completely, but just throwing this out there. Genetics controls whether you smell from sweating or not. Most Koreans lack the gene that causes odor when sweating. So yes, it's totally possible to work out insanely hard and not smell.

She should smile more.
That's basically what the article should say.
Only the last sentence seemed substantive IF she wants a career in politics, but it doesn't seem she's too interested in joining politics herself? She's 37. I get the feeling she'd have dabbled a toe in a little while ago if politics were her thing.
We did it. And then got a notice that we could renew our membership and start over for 5 dvds for a dollar. So given how well it worked out the first time, I jumped on it.
We are mostly digital, but I know how to rip our dvds and blurays for back up purposes so we have a digital copy of them regardless of whether it got packaged as a digital copy.
The second round we're currently on of membership, we got 5 blurays, 3 of which came with a digital copy already.
It broke down to 7.62 a dvd, including all the rewards we reaped and utilized for more dvds through Disney Movie Rewards.
Do white Canadians ever need to show proof of their Canadian ties to prove they're not trying to illegally immigrate?
Yes, I've had to show letters from employers or other ties to Canada, and have white friends who have had to show similar. BUT I absolutely believe that there are far more POC who have to do this.
This whole story is just bizarre (on their part, not hers). The point of an immigrant visa is to immigrate, which she clearly doesn't want to do. Why do they insist on thinking Canadians want to live illegally in the US?
Because agents are trained to view all crossings as intent to immigrate unless proven otherwise.
So pre-wedding festivities like spa days and family visits require a K1 even if you're intending to marry a Canadian (in Kapoor's case) and get married in Canada? Good to know.
These are not the only two cases of "intent to immigrate" I've heard of at the Canadian border, and the third had no connections to a wedding. It did involve a PoC. Until I see a case with a white person, I'm going to draw some conclusions.
?
I never said Kapoor needed a K1. To me, that looks like a background check issue since it hit two members of the same family. And background check issues are much like the no fly list. There are definitely problematic racial and cultural components to who gets targeted and who doesn't. You also aren't going to get transparency from the CBP agent about the cause for denial of entry.
I asked if being engaged might have been the poster above's issue. Unlike you, I've known people to be denied entry for that issue - and yes, even white people. I was wrong in her case. She clarified they weren't engaged. It was his bank account that pinged.
This isn't a Trump thing. This is a "we really need reform and transparency in immigration" thing.
No it wasn't his bank account.
He was denied for no real reason other than an inability to prove he lived in Canada. Literally, owning a home, paying bills such as utilities and internet and tv and cellphone and car insurance and schooling did not count as significant enough ties because he could be doing all of that and not live in Canada.
The bank account was a Chinese girl who was pulled off a Greyhound bus because she was going to the us that weekend to shop

I did. I got the radiologist report back and it said it and then noted that it's a sign of Downs. I had a nervous breakdown and called my midwife's office in a panic.
We had, for the record, already done a genetic test at 10 weeks due to AMA and it had come back clear.
In any case, my midwife assuaged my fears and mentioned the genetic test, also pointed out that my husband and I are short and that it is likely our child is just short. She also mentioned the measurements are normalized for white babies, so being Asian the US norms in measurements don't necessarily apply to us. My second child is perfect. So freaking perfect, other than being sick for the entire month of January and February.
Good luck. I cried for a good hour even after talking to the midwife I was so wound up.

Oh also, when we had a rental (2 bedroom 1 bath 1520sqft), we rented it out under market value for 2200 a month a year ago. I'd say fair market value for a house that's 2 bedroom 1 bath would be closer to 2500. FWIW, rents don't go up in a steep curve the larger the home gets. So about 3k for a 4 bedroom 2 bath house sounds about right.
Other than the sticker shock of higher cost of living, the biggest shift would likely be learning to love parallel parking.

I'm also a Ballardite and love it. But it is "far" from the east side. There are ways to make it more time effective to be sure, but they take some finagling. We used to park our car at Lenora and 20th at Montlake and hop the bus across to Microsoft back when my husband and I both worked there. We'd leave the house at 7AM, drop the kid off, and get to work by 9AM. We'd leave Redmond at 4:30PM, pick the kid up by 5-5:30PM, and be home by 6-6:30. It was the best of a meh situation. My husband no longer works in Redmond and I no longer work.
I didn't have time to read all the responses (so rarely on a computer lately and hate phone GBCNing), but the Green Lake/Ravenna area sounds like it could work well for you guys, relatively close to the 65th Park and Ride for all of your bus needs (to the east side and downtown) and walkable. Don't know about schools there though. And we do not have 4K. By about 4 years old, there are a lot more options for pay preschools that are far cheaper than daycare costs, but still not 'cheap'. There's a Montessori school just a block away from me that's all day that's a lot more money than we wanted to pay with one parent at home so my son goes to a half day (4 hours) 3x a week. Our preschool system does a full day preschool too though, five days ago, but $$.
