I am a planner but also a low-energy introvert and need to mentally prepare myself for outings because they are draining. Even without the coordinating with spouse and child, I definitely need time to decide if I'm up for something. Not an inordinate amount, but at least 24 hours. I promise you, if I'm waffling it's not because I'm waiting for something better to come along, it's because I'm fighting the impulse to stay home. Pressure to decide something too quickly will almost always result in a no.
I wasn't allowed to get a job because my parents told me school was my job.
In retrospect, I think that was a crap approach because I didn't really understand working and finances. I went on to get an arts degree which has led to nothing but low-paying jobs and dissatisfaction.
I worked a job where I didn't get home until 2a or 3a in the morning one time, and boss was mad I didn't come in to work until 10a the next morning.
Same boss - I told her I was working from home on a particular morning doing a work task. I reminded her the day prior, as well. The next morning, she called me asking why I wasn't in the office.
My extended family lives in the area so I grew up going there for family vacations all throughout the 80s/90s/00s. We usually stayed in the quieter Garden City area. North Myrtle Beach was also nicer. But MB itself is extremely commercialized and kinda honky-tonk, like stemmie mentioned. Plenty of stuff for kids to do!
I'm liking the shorter length shirts to go with my higher-waisted jeans/pants. I don't show skin, but I'm otherwise into it. With my longer torso and shorter legs, any visual illusion I can create to make my bottom half look longer, works for me.
Ugh I feel this. I used to be thin with C/Ds (even that was bigger than I wanted) but with a bit of mid-life weight gain, I'm now at a DDD/DDDD, and so dense. I feel like I'm carrying around sore bags of fat on my chest. I don't have any helpful answers. :-(

I'll be 43 this year and around the time I turned 40, I started having extreme brain fog. I used to remember everything. Everything. Now I remember nothing. My periods are still regular but super light because I got an ablation about 15 years ago.
I used to always be cold, but now I'm usually hot. And I have about 10-20 lbs to lose that's now damn near impossible, which was always easy in the past.
H and I were chatting at lunch at how much we think sports are stupid, and how much we don't like people who can only talk and think about sports.
I also used to sell my SEC college football student tickets on eBay back in the day cuz hey - broke college kid and easy money. I've never dated a sports nut because I found them so unattractive.
I don't think you need 3 nights in the city of Naples, but in that area, I'd definitely hit up Pompeii and Mt. Vesuvius, and the Amalfi Coast (Positano and Ravello are my fave).
Google "proposal photographer your city" and a variation of those keywords. It's (mostly) off-season for wedding photographers right now and plenty of them also photograph proposals.
My fave for performing was Ardell Wispies or Demi-Wispies - you can get them at Wal-mart and similar kinds of stores.
I did all eye makeup first, and with a thick line of black liquid eyeliner. Lashes go on last, as close to the natural lash line as possible. Let the glue air-dry on the fake lashes for like 10 seconds before applying to help it get tacky. I did a swipe of mascara after, too.
Talk early about not exchanging gifts between adults. Voila - problem solved.
This! I got off the gift merry-go-round years ago. Granted, gifts are NOT my love language, giving or receiving. My H and I do a few small gifts for each other and that's it. He takes care of the gifting for our nephews.
Raised by a clothes-sewing Boomer Mom. I can sew extensively, I've made lots of dance costumes, and I've lightly drafted patterns. I made a coat when I was 8. I hem/alter almost everything I buy. I realize this is a rare skill these days. In my circle, I've never met anyone who is better at it than me.
How many lenses do you have? This one fits my 2 mirrorless bodies and 4 lenses. It is heavy AF all loaded up. But 2 years and many weddings and portrait shoots in the mountains later, it still looks brand new.
