Amazon has a lot of choices. When I went to an 80’s fundraiser I wore a DARE shirt from amazon with a lace skirt over neon leggings. The DARE shirt was a hit.
Our new DC offers this. It is so great! The fee is included in our tuition so we don’t pay extra. We have one account that my husband and I share. I have not given it out to family as our center is very strict about privacy and sharing the information can be cause to lose access.
My mom donated directly to my brother when he was 13. That was 20 years ago. They are both doing great. Her recovery was harder than my brother’s. We hired a house Cleaning service for a few weeks, but they both had good recoveries.
That sounds awesome! Do you mind sharing what you find? My boy is an 11 year old boxer who also does best with grain free. As his time is limited I want to maximize his joy and food is a big joy for him.
I would google BARF Dogs - you'll get lots of info on raw feeding. I'm sure there are a ton of companies in the US who also make food for dogs in a similar manner.
cst2cst, isabel, orval, thanks for sharing your stories. I'm so sad that all your dogs have also suffered. I'm looking at a company that does personally raw food stuff - so he can have low fat, no grain foods mixed up so that it's good for him as an oldie (11 yr old).

Most of the urgent cares in my area don’t take Medicaid but the ER does. So, the urgent care on my hospital’s campus (same healthcare system) won’t take Medicaid but the ER will. It is also really hard to find a PCP who takes Medicaid in my area. Most places that do are health clinics that can take hours to be seen.
My dog recently had pancreatitis. The vet prescribed Royal Canin low fat GI-something that he liked a lot. It’s crap food, but his numbers were really good on it. He’s allergic to chicken, which all the low fat foods have and he got rashy and developed an ear infection on the food. Now he is on California Naturals low fat lamb and rice. He doesn’t love it as much, but it works well for him.
He also has end stage cancer and gets a lot of joy from food, so the restricted diet was a huge bummer. I found extra extra lean ground beef at Trader Joe’s (96%lean) and feed him that mixed with rice and veggies in addition to the kibble. He hasn’t had any further issues with the pancreatitis.
We taught our dogs an emergency recall that is different from come. We only use that word for the command so it needs to be something you don’t say every day. You also give the dog a high value treat they only get with that word. We used anchovy paste. It worked well for my food motivated dogs.
My 5 year old loves to make pasta with red sauce ( sautéed ground meat, dry pasta, sauce on top of pasta, not mixed. 3 c water on manual high for half the recommend cook time of the pasta). She also made yogurt this week and was really proud of herself.
My mom was once given a family recipe and sworn to secrecy by her best friends family. She didn’t share because that was a condition for being given the recipe. Then, one day, she was at an event and someone brought the exact same cookie. They got to talking and realized the recipe had come from the same family. Another family member had been freely giving out the “secret” recipe. After that my mom gave it to anyone who asked.
Taco Bell sold a chicken Cesar burrito wrap that I used to get several times a week when I was in college in the early 2000s. Then they discontinued it, then brought it back later but it wasn't the same.
They made a blueberry face wash in the 90s I liked. It was in a pump bottle. I think it was by Kiss My Face.
WWF ice cream bars
The stuff in the Delia's catalog
Freemans? I loved their blueberry face wash and cucumber peel off mask.
I was also going to say that social work would be the most flexible. You can be a private practice therapist but you can also work in a ton of different areas. I'm licensed and work in a NICU and with ante and postpartum patients at my hospital.
I recently bought this blue one and a plain blue with white trim. I love them both. They are flattering and comfortable. I also recently bought two at Target that are also nice.
I've used it since Christmas and it really works well. I'm also still using my first tube so it lasts a long time too.
Same. I just started my second tube. I was using it daily for about 10 weeks. Now I'm down to once a week. I wouldn't want them any longer than they are now. I get compliments daily.
I'm sorry you are dealing with this. The first step is to get all the information you can. Is there genetic testing you can do? Is freezing eggs a possibility?
Breathe. You don't have to make all the decisions right now.
On freezing eggs, I don't know. This specific form of cancer is caused from excess calcium during egg production. So I don't know... Plus isn't freezing super expensive?
Livestrong has a program to help with fertility preservation. I think it has financial requirements but would be worth looking into.
I would have the testing done and go from there. I'm sure you know this, but ovarian cancer is often not diagnosed until very late stages which makes it very difficult to treat for many women. I'm guessing this is why she asked if you are going to have them removed. The test would be the first step to making any decisions. You don't HAVE to do anything. Some people would want them taken out right away to avoid any risk. Others may want to wait until after having children or freezing eggs to do it. Some may want to leave them alone and intervene if there is a problem. There is no wrong answer and only you will know your values and preferences.
If I were in your position I'd have the test and meet with the genetic counselor. If I had the gene, I'd discuss fertility options/preservation. I'd also discuss risk and timelines/monitoring. Then I would make a decision. I personally would lean toward removal and avoiding risk, but those are my values and preferences.
I'm sorry you are in this position. It is a lot to take in and process.
Folks that have seen this recently - were people singing along? My BIL saw it (in NYC?) and said that people in the audience were singing along and I was horrified. He said he didn't mind, but now I'm scared for the LA shows. But no one sang at Leslie Odom's concert, so maybe I shouldn't worry?
I saw it in SF 2 weeks ago and no one sang. The audience lost it at "immigrants, we get the job done" but that was the only time people made noise during a song.
I agree that unless she discusses it with you, you don't talk her into anything. Is she still using drugs? If so, that would be where I'd focus any discussion about the baby; helping her with resources to stop her use.
I fought the good fight for Greta, but lost and we ended up wanting an A name to honor Audrey's birth family.
Others: Simone Clara Claire Violet Fiona Vivian
ETA: my Eleanor is NN Nora. I don't know if that compromise would work. I also came back because I forgot Eliza, which Audrey almost was. All your choices are lovely.
I didn't love the material or shoulder on the Maya. I bought a wrap conversion ring sling and love it. I used it constantly until about 6 months and still occasionally use it. You can find them new and used on Facebook b/s/t sites or Babywearing stores like Dearest Diapers. Mine is a Girasol and the fabric is super soft.
I loved a ringsling for when mine was little. I didn't love the Maya, but loved a wrap conversion ringsling. It was so soft and they come in so many colors and patterns. For SSC I love Kinderpacks. The infant size cinches down so that you can start using it as soon as it is comfortable for baby to have his legs somewhat separated.
I found going to a Babywearing meetup group to be really helpful for tips on how too use the ringsling and I could try out all the other carriers.
