I have a friend who shops for them and they've greatly reduced their compensation. (I don't remember how but I got the impression it's really not good for the shoppers.) They're marking up groceries a bunch and not paying shoppers well. I wonder if they're just trying to make as much money as they can while they can?
Yes, they have. I've been a shopper for almost 4 years and my earnings have decreased by at least half.
Lurker here. I have been straightening my hair for over 20 years until I decided to try these products in October. I'm absolutely in love and never thought I'd ever feel this way about my hair. There's definitely a learning curve and I've experimented with different application methods until I found something that really works for me. I also got a cut specifically for curly hair with lots of layers and that helped a lot. I'm definitely a big fan of LUS and I love how supportive and encouraging they are. Plus, I have a major hair crush on their founder.
If you are ordering through instacart the best way to do it is to tip 22 cents up front and then adjust your tip after the delivery because their new payment structure figures the tip into how much money a shopper is paid per order.
I've been a shopper for instacart for almost 3 years if anyone has any questions. If you use the service, keep in mind that they recently changed their pay structure for the shoppers and are now using the tips to supplement tips. Shoppers all over the country are asking customers to enter in pre-tip of $0.22 which signals to us that you'll be tipping post delivery.
Can you explain this more? I have been using Instacart for Aldi and there’s is a tip already included when I check out. My service fee and delivery fee are waived though since I paid for a yearly membership. Should I be tipping on top of the tip?
Instacart old payment system had a per day base of $3-$6 and they also paid 40 cents per item shopped. So for example, a day with a $3 base and 20 items would pay $11 before the tip. There was also a $5 bump for any order over $200 and for every $100 after that. The new payment system which was rolled out recently doesn't have any set amount of how much they pay us except for there's a $10 minimum per order which includes tip. I've personally received orders upwards of 30 items for $12 with a $6 tip. The automatic tip that you're talking about is 5% of your order. Most of us feel like that's a really low number since we are shopping, bagging, and delivering the orders ourselves. We're independent contractors and drive our own cars, and are also responsible for covering insurance car maintenance, phones, etc.

Lurker here, but I work (independent contractor, really) for in.sta.cart. I can answer whatever questions you have.
Are you paid per trip or by the amount of groceries? What kind is the application process like? Do you do it all yourself - shopping and delivery?
You get paid a small base for every order and then a 40 cent per item fee. Does that make sense? So if an order has 10 items and the base is $4, I'll get paid $8 from IC. I see that you're in STL. That zone just recently opened and it's pretty slow going, but there's an hourly guarantee although I'm not sure what it is.
It's been a while since I've applied, but I thought the app was kind of a joke. It might have changed since then.
Yup, I'm called a full service shopper so I shop and deliver. Some markets have in-store shoppers and they're actually employees of in.sta.cart ,but after they've shopped the order, a full service shopper has to pick it up and deliver. Everyone hates delivery only orders and luckily my zone doesn't have them.
I'll say that if you're curious if it's for you, apply and see what happens. You literally have nothing to lose and the company treats you really well the first few weeks.
Lurker here. It depends on what aand how you plan to use it for. Will you be shooting in raw or jpeg? I would look for one with a higher processing speed. I have the lexar professional with 150mb/s 16gb. One thing to remember is it's best to format the card in camera after you have transferred to your computer rather than deleting the pictures.
Causal user- jpeg now. I wanted more than my iPhone for photos.
I will take a class eventually, but would like to start taking photos now.
You should be fine with that card then. I shoot raw+ jpeg and have plenty of space with it. Also, don't take a class. There are plethora of YouTube videos you can watch to help you learn.

My DD did this around 15 months. Almost same as yours, clumps around the bed, longer hair gone to short with bald spots. She was also eating it which caused awful constipation. We figured out it was anxiety over being in the crib because it stopped as soon as we transferred her to a toddler bed at 18 months.
i just read this to H and he got really hopeful. we have her bed frame/mattress set up, i just haven't gotten around to getting sheets/duvet but i will make that a priority this week. thank you SO MUCH for this suggestion, seriously. i'm really sorry you've been here, it's so frustrating and sad to see.
It is very frustrating and sad. A picture of her from that time just popped up on my timehop recently and it brought back all those emotions. I really hope that transferring to a regular bed is the solution for your kiddo.

I have a hard time seeing the "fry like bacon freshman bitches" chick as a doctor.
Just a lurker passing through, but Joey Lauren Adams didn't say this line, Parker Posey did. JLA's line was "welcome to high school honey" as she sprinkles them with flour. She was one of the nicer ones. Best movie ever.
When we first moved to NYC from Russia my mom knew that she had a cousin she hadn't seen since she was 5 (we're from St Petersburg cousin is from Kiev) living somewhere in the states. Our first week here a Russian woman came up to her at the park and asked for a light for her cigarette. Turned out to be the distant cousin.
When we were talking about favorite movie quotes at my old job and no one knew where "what are you looking at? Wipe that look off your face, BITCH" came from.
Also when I realized that I can't be a surrogate after this year's birthday
I want to "this" so many posts on here. I love 80s and 90s music. My favorite Pandora stations are 90s hip hop (when the kids aren't around) and alternative.
The chronic Natalie Merchant's Ophelia Metallica Black and s&m Depeche Mode Violator 40 oz to freedom 10,000 maniacs unplugged Nirvana unplugged I am Sam soundtrack Romeo and juliette soundtrack K7 (who remembers them?)
There are more, but I'm spacing in the album names.
I got so annoyed with my BIL yesterday. One of his and DH's friends is getting married next weekend and BIL knows he's not comin, but hasn't let them know officially yet even though I told him over 2 weeks ago to give them an answer. Yesterday I got a text from the bride asking me to get BIL to RSVP. I texted him and his reply to me was along the lines of "well if I RSVP then I'll be coming and I'm not si I don't need to RSVP". I responded to him with the definition of what RSVP means.
I don't know how somebody can be almost 40 years old and think that not responding to an invitation either way is acceptable
I would personally skip Pikes Peak and do the Royal Gorge railroad instead. I really didn't like how touristy Pikes Peak is but maybe that's because of my love affair with Mt. Evans.
I usually do random combinations of the suggestions above, but I always add thawed (not jarred) artichoke hearts and Girards Champagne dressing. It's pricy, but sooooo good
That sounds really rough. It 's not fair to you to be solely responsible for your child's wellbeing.
I know that this is going to sound creepy as fuck, but if you ever want to get together for a playdate, I think we're in the same general area. I've met litebright at cooking club a couple of times many years ago so obviously I'm not a psycho. My girls are 4 and 8.
