I booked myself a massage for tomorrow and I am looking so forward to it. I am also very very happy that I have no plans this weekend - 3 days of relaxation!
I believe her. You don't move on and switch gyms in gymnastics if everything is working out and things are ok at your current gym. There's too much of an investment there.
I'd really like to know what the coaches at Excalibur did that were "far beyond their coaches duties".
This is what I was thinking - there was obvisouly SOMETHING going on that made her change gyms and move to a completely different state. Granted, some of it could have been your average teenage drama, but I doubt that was the extent of it.
And hell, the coach admitted to telling her to get a nose job - but just that it was a joke. Hahaha
I was actually struck by how different the plain non-fat Fage tastes versus the 2% plain Fage. I find the non-fat Fage to be delicious but the 2% was gross.
I do eat my Fage completely plain, though if I want to make it a sweet treat I will add some honey. But I love the taste of plain by itself.
I usually get the kind with honey - but I LOVE that the honey is in its own seperate part so that I can add as much as I want. I only use a little bit - I don't want it to be too sweet.
And yet, apparently, few of the yogurts actually are Greek. I forget the details of why and which ones are fake, but I think npr did a piece on it
Yeah, I remember that NPR piece. I am pretty sure Chiobani and Fage are actually Greek Yogurt, but that Yoplait and a couple of others just use some kind of thickening agent.
It is a good thing he didn't go on about his social views - considering he has been outspoken on gay rights before, and believe gay marriage should be legal. I believe he considers himself a libertarian, not an R. Could be wrong though.
MichelleBelle, there is a segment of Jewish thought that feels that Christians have used this "Judeo Christian" business to act inclusive of Jews but instead of including are trying to absorb. Jews and Christians do not believe in the same thing. I mean, Jews don't believe that the messiah has come yet, and Christians have their Jesus. The divinity of Christ is a big deal, right? That is actually a very divisive thing.
Put more roughly, Christians tried to take the Jewish g-d by making h im the dad of Jesus. Some Jews don't agree that they are worshiping the same g-d at all...rather that Christians believe in Christ, and incorporated their g-d just as a cult would. There are a relatively small number of Jews, but back in the day claiming to be Jewish gave early Christians "cred" in that this was an established religion.
And the recent very pro Christian policies of Republicans that claim to be "JudeoChristian" are very far from any Jewish theology/philosophy. Jews are pretty firm in believing life begins at birth, for instance. Mother's life is ALWAYS more important than a fetus. And life is a big deal in Jewish thinkinkg.
Thank you for this - I had no idea. Won't be using that term anymore
So is it that he doesn't believe he can have anything in common with an American that doesn't believe in God or is it that he believes only those who believe in God are Americans?? Because I guess he feels no tie to 'Mericans who don't believe in God
I watch both conventions every four years, or as much as I can stomach of them. 2008 was the first time I felt the Republicans were openly telling me "We don't want your vote and you're not one of us". My mouth was hanging open throughout Sarah Palin's speech as she continually dissed the whole right coast, over and over again.
It seems to me that it used to be different, that they would try to persuade people into the party instead of first alienating and then declaring war on them.
Because he believes in God does not mean he thinks those that dont are others.
That is exactly what he said though. That what unites Americans is a belief in God.
Also, I have never seen a Clint Eastwood movie. Ever. I thought about watching Gran Torino, but insom on MM said it sucked and the National Review called it one of the greatest conservative movies of all time, so I decided that it didn't seem worth ruining a perfectly good piece of self-trivia over.
Really?? I mean, I guess I could see it in the realm of right to arms, but thats really it. I LOVED Gran Torino.
I too watch shows in every single category. I watch the most in Ultra Liberal, and least in Ultra Conservative (only House Hunters and Property Bros there). I am suprised Big Bang skews right though.
I know that my friends that are now teachers majored in things like American Studies or Child Psych, but I know that most schools have a set of requirements to get into the credential program, which include a set of core classes. I would probably want to pick a major where those classes were used as part of the degree.
For example, at Cal State Fullerton, these are the requirements: Course Requirements:
Human Development: CAS 101, 312, CAS 315, or 325A & B, or PSYC 361 or community college equivalent.
EDEL 315 ("B-" or better required) EDEL 325 ("B-" or better required) Other Requirements:
Completion of General Education and no more than 6 units remaining in the major. (Notice: One does not need to have graduated to enter the credential program. We recommend the student complete the entire major prior to entering the program.)
