My friend is getting married in June at a golf club (south Bay Area, so will be warm/hot) and I am a bridesmaid. I'm having the damndest time finding a dress. No requirements from her other than it being the right color. I looked at David's Bridal and Amazon and can't really find anything I like. Help?
I don't want to go floor length, and I'm tall so I like to keep my dresses knee length or just below - high lows can be beneficial to detract from my butt. A lines or fit and flares flatter me most.
Any suggestions welcome, or even just places to look. Budget, I'd like to keep to under $100 but can go up to $200 if I love it (and it can be reworn).

If you have cankles, do ankle pants work? I don't know if I really have them bad, but I don't have nice delicate, defined ankles and have usually avoided anything that highlights them.

Banker here. If a check is a LOT larger than normal, and if you're a known customer, the manager might have been questioning to make sure you weren't a victim of a scam.
We do that sometimes, with questions like, " do you know the person who have this to you?" "is this more than what you owed?" "was this money you were expecting?".
You have no idea how many people "win the lottery!!!!1!" But yet have never played...

Thanks, all! I have checked most of those places, but can't find quite what I'm looking for. Would like a straight/skinny leg, and hoping for inexpensive. I'm losing weight, so don't want to invest in really pricey pants just yet.
Several of our favorite meals are listed below. We add carbs (bread, pasta, rice) and subtract fat as needed.

My mom got a phone number with the local area code, didn't put address on the resume and that helped with getting interviews. Granted, this was years ago and was just moving from northern CA to southern CA, so take that as you will.

Do they ever go on sale? Are they really worth the cost? I'm soooo tempted, but that price tag. I feel like I would have to get black to make it worth it, but I love the colors!
We’re in a similar boat and I use a few different websites/apps to make extra money. My favorites are Swagbucks and shopkick.
I make most of my money on Swagbucks by taking surveys. I like that I can do it, while just vegging our on the couch. One of the cash out options is PayPal, so that is put towards our debt. shopkick only offers gift cards, but I’ve been using them toward Christmas presents.
Let me know if you want my referral codes.
I would totally take a referral code for Swagbucks!
DH and I have been doing our side gigs for the past month. He's been doing Uber Eats and I've been doing Instacart. We've brought in about $800 in the past 3.5-4 weeks. Instacart is only good if you're in a high volume area, but last night DH made $35ish/hr for the evening with Uber Eats. He goes after the kids are in bed (8pm) and I do Instacart 1 afternoon in the weekend for a couple of hours. We're not rich from it, but it is extra cash we didn't have before. Good luck!
I just finished up the sign up for Instacart - like I said, I'm in Bay Area CA, so I think it would be a high volume. How do you like it? Do you have to pay up front for the shopping, or are you just picking up pre-shopped for bags?
My BIL delivers newspapers. He has been doing it for a few years to help he and my sister get out of debt. He actually makes about $900-$1000 per month plus nice tips at Christmas.
The early mornings kind of suck, but he only delivers in their neighbourhood so he’s close, and home in time to help get my niece and nephew off to school. He also treats it as exercise because he’ll park his car at the end of a street and run while he delivers, and then runs back and moves to the next block. I’m friends with him on the Fitbit app and he does like 10,000 steps before I’m even out of bed in the morning lol
This is interesting as well - how did he find that job?
Do you have stuff you could get rid of? You can list things on Facebook sale groups and craigslist. I've seen all kinds of stuff. I recently listed a few items and I sold them all within a couple of weeks. It was surprisingly easy.
You could also sell clothes, shoes, accessories on Poshmark.
Do you like pets and have experience with them? My friend dog sits for extra cash and there are sites like rover.com where you could walk dogs or take care of them in people's homes. She has had good experience with it.
I like the idea of walking dogs! I will check out that site.
Most of my clothes and accessories come from Target, lol - not sure how much they'd be worth.
I do childcare for extra cash. It’s not for everyone and you have to really enjoy kids but it’s the most I can make while my own kids are little and would eat up any earnings with my own. childcare.
We also readjusted our lifestyle a lot. I have no idea if you’re eating lentils or buying five Starbucks a day, so I won’t patronize you with tips but *i* found it easier to trim some necessities and adjusting my mindset than to earn more.
Good luck!
I've been using YNAB for about a month so far, and it has really helped both of us weigh a LOT more carefully how we're spending our money. We've been eating at home for a month straight now, which is so sad that that is a record for us, but we're getting used to it. It's just our debt is really eating up all expendable cash.
What is your husbands resistance to Lyft? I drive for them when I need extra money. I live in a big city where it is constantly busy and usually make around $20-$25/hour
Number one is that only my car would qualify (2011 Corolla vs 1997 Ford Expedition), and my car is in shit condition with hella miles already (we were a one car family for a while when I had a 45 mile one way commute that we would do 4 times a day when he took me and picked me up). Secondly, he doesn't really want me doing it by myself, even though I'm a grown ass woman.

My H and I have started really working on and sticking to a budget (thank you, YNAB) and are trying to face our debt head on. While we currently make just enough to cover our bills and feed ourselves, there's nothing left for saving and/or throwing at debt. We simply do not have schedules that will allow for a second job at this time.
My question is - does anyone do anything to make extra money? My H doesn't want us doing anything like TaskRabbit or Lyft, but I am going to keep working on him about that. I know there's surveys that you can take online, which I've tried but never really qualify for the high paying ones.

I kind of picked up a gay vibe from Billy, which may explain his behavior and over compensating - especially with a dad that throws the f-word around and bullies him like that. I don’t know, up until the point he beat the crap out of Steve, I wanted him to redeem himself.
