Ripping out and redoing the half bath. Got the tile, the light, the toilet and the faucet, all we're missing is the vanity. I figure that can go in later.
IF anyone wants to help me choose a paint color, I added a clicky poll in the Home & Garden section. I'm debating between dark grey and wedgwood blue.
gpointe does not camp. does.not.camp. water, no water....no camping.
Also, I am lame...we are doing nothing. There is a huge techno music festival here this weekend....as such, I will not even be seeing my H. However, we will be making up for it next weekend by attending the Grand Prix. H has a 4 day weekend, so I am hoping for big fun outside the house. Before I kill myself...or other persons who live in this house.
Hopefully (but not likely), I will have had my transfusion by then.

My sister and her family are here so we'll be doing touristy stuff.
Also, we're seriously thinking about putting an offer in on a house tomorrow! We want to look at it one more time (and since my sister is here, I might as well get her opinion).
My husband and I are eading down to NY to visit my family...haven't seen them in awhile.
Nice! I think, yes?
Absolutely. With my new job, this was the first opportunity in a long time. It's also tough for my husband to get Mondays or Fridays off so this was the perfect time.
I hope everyone has a great weekend. I will be bringing my laptop (how I love thee) so I will probably still be online a bit.

My plan was to float in the pool all weekend long but our weather is going to be too damned good to do that if you can believe it! Phoenix, AZ will be experiencing lower than normal temperatures this weekend - 80's and low 90's. I can't decide if I'm disappointed about missing the pool time or so excited to be able to walk outside without dying from heat exhaustion.

So what you're telling me here is that Phoenix, the place we moved from to get away from oppressive heat, will be significantly cooler than Chicago. Fucking hell.

Wait. Why can't you float in the pool if it is 80 or 90 outside?

That is exactly what I am saying. I'm sorry. It happens so rarely!

Wait. Why can't you float in the pool if it is 80 or 90 outside?
I think it's totally in the brain. If it is 85 outside and slightly breezy then it's way too "chilly" to swim. Heck, it could be 100 and slightly breezy and after being in the pool I feel too chilly.

Ha! I'm in Tucson and I was coming in to post the same thing. I have been so looking forward to just floating in the pool and reading this weekend, but it's not hot enough and too windy. Yes, I realize that, for most of the country, mid 90s is plenty hot enough to float in the pool. I, however, have been here for 15 years and am a desert rat. I need high 90s, minimum, before it's hot enough to swim.
ETA: we're getting together with friends tonight. Other than that, I foresee a lot of hammock time and reading in my future since the pool's out. We've already camped 3x this year, and we kayak all winter, so we usually avoid those kinds of place son holiday weekends.

Dark grey, easy!
Agreed. Wedgewood blue makes me think of all the older, Midwestern women in my family who decorate with Wedgewood blue and mauve. And things like teddy bears, ducks, and Longaberger baskets. Dark grey for the win!
