You guys, I have to AW this. Since the beginning of the year, R's lost about a hundred pounds. (I've lost 50, but it's hard to tell in the photos I'm about to show and tell.)
First ... we took this in February (about a month into our weight loss):

Well, I thought he was hot before. But yeah ... he's pretty dang cute in that after photo. I, on the other hand, am a mess in that last one. A full day of humidity and rain does horrible things to my hair.
Do you want to share the details of what you guys have been doing? any tips, or things that really worked for you? My problem is always sticking with it after a week or two...one slip up beomes two, and then it's just "Oh, f it! May as well eat whatever I want!"

We've been somewhat loosely following the Sonoma Diet. It's a modified Mediterranean-style diet with lean protein, tons of veggies, and whole-grains. Not difficult to follow at all, at least for us. The lady who wrote the book allows for desserts and things once you're out of the first "wave".
The only thing that might catch up to some people is how much cooking is involved. None of the cooking is difficult, per se, but if you're used to convenience meals, it would be a big change.
