So up until 6 years ago, I've been buying/wearing shoes that are half to a whole size smaller because I thought they fit better. Also learned the wrong way to trim my nails. Then I started running and all of a sudden I'm more prone to big toe ingrown nails. Surprise surprise! I always end up rounding and trimming when it starts to hurt but of course that never solves the problem. It's not gotten worse that it would cause infection or get swollen but it has gotten painful/sensitive that I would stop running for a while to give it a break then restart again later. I really want to train for a race and stupid L big toe is giving me issues! Just the left big toe, yes. Any suggestions on how to resolve this? TIA ladies!
