Our landlord always gave us a box of candy. It was appreciated and not weird!

Thanks for the insight. We're already taking a loss on the rent so while I love the idea of a break on January's rent, I don't really want to go that route.

I think I'll do a 6 pack of beer and some candy or chocolates. Maybe throw in a $10 gift card to Target or something.
