Do you have your hospital bag packed? Carseat in? Nursery done? Everything washed? This is all stuff I'm working on.... Carseat IS in my car. Nursery is MOSTLY done. Bags will be packed this weekend, hopefully (and hopefully they'll let me bring a huge bag, b/c I'm notorious for over packing.... and almost everything is washed... just one more load ....

I packed my bag though I'm itching to repack it. I'm a little OCD. The carseat base is in H's truck. He's had it installed since the day after we got it. He was super excited. All the clothes have been washed and I've chosen what outfits I'm taking to the hospital with me. I wouldn't say the nursery is finished (I'm waiting on bedding) but he'll be sleeping in a bassinet for the first while anyways so we won't really be using his room that much.
Sounds like you're ready!!!! I am like, literally the most indecisive person on the planet, and can't pick outfits for the baby to wear on the way home from the hospital, b/c they're ALL so cute. And I feel like I can't pack my bag either, b/c i don't know what clothes to bring, and I don't have a TON of maternity clothes anyway, so I don't want to pack them, then want to wear them before I give birth, and have to re pack. I'm horrible at this stuff. This is why I pack for vacations that night before we leave.
LOL, I know what you mean. I'm only taking a couple of pairs of sweats/pj pants and some nursing camis for myself. So it doesn't impact me too much. I don't have a lot of NB clothes so it wasn't too hard to choose from. I'm in the same boat with maternity clothes. I can't decide whether I even care what I look like when I go home or not.
I do not leave my house to travel ANYWHERE without my SPECIAL pillow that I have had since I was 5 years old. (i shit you not) I can not sleep with out that pillow. it is the MOST comfortable pillow in all the land. I WILL however tell H to bring his pillow. He never does. He's a weird-o. I have had to put the smack down on H's ipad usage, b/c it's out of control, and I am scared he will be playing dragonvale and clash of clans while i am pushing out a baby, so I don't know if the ipad will make the trip, but I am for sure bringing my laptop.
LOL, he better not be playing games. We took the Bradley Method classes (just finished Monday) so my H has to be on top of his game. He's got a lot of responsibilities. I hate not knowing what to expect. Like what will contractions actually feel like, when will labor start, blah blah blah. I'm kind of a control freak though. I like to know what to expect.
Yeah I have been wondering with every different movement and way that I feel .. is that a contraction?? And the fact that my mom had a scheduled c-section with me, and my sister had an induced labor, with an early dpi so she doesn't really remember a lot about her contractions, doesn't help. Everyone just says "You'll know when you're having them" BUT WHAT IF I DON'T KNOW?!?!?
Right?! But I guess eventually it'll be obvious. LOL. I was so convinced that he was head down until the last two appointments where my dr couldn't feel if he was head down. Now I'm second guessing myself and googling stuff. Ugh...really not a great feeling.
Haha, fair. It was awesome for us as my laptop was fried. I mostly used it to watch Louis episodes and read US Weekly because I couldn't focus on anything longer than a paragraph or two.
And I told my husband to sleep when I couldn't, because I needed someone to be in a position to make decisions once I realized this was not going to end quickly, and once he was asleep it was nice to listen to music and read the internet. But if you have a laptop, you won't need the ipad!
I'm not ready, but I am ready to be done. I want him to be in there as long as he needs to be, but damn, I'm getting uncomfortable.
On the plus side, the RnP is set up and ready to go, the baby's bag is packed, my bag is partially packed (just need to add clothes, snacks, and a few other little things), the clothes are all washed. We just need to get the car seat in the car and reorganize upstairs to accommodate all the bay stuff since he'll be in our bedroom for a couple of months at least.
I worked more on the nursery tonight, organizing mostly. He will be in there from day 1 hopefully, since it is right next to our room, so I want it to be all set up as soon as he comes home.
I was planning on packing his bag at least, but didn't get that far, b/c my feet are so swollen, and they felt like they were going to explode. At least I got some stuff done instead of just sitting on the couch as soon as i got home!
Sake, what all are you putting in the baby's bag for the hospital?
Oh and I don't know if you read yesterday what I said about my dr not knowing if he's head down or not but I tried the forward-leaning inversion last night and about 30-60 minutes later I felt a pretty big, uncomfortable movement. Not sure what it was but I'm hoping that when I go in next Tuesday she can actually tell where he is.
I put in 3 outfits, one is a onesie and pants, one is a footed sleeper and one is a fleece sleeper with out feet. I might change my mind on what clothes I'm bringing though... I also brought his winter bunting, and a blanket for in the car seat. Probably totally overpacked.
I hope that movement you felt was baby flipping!!!
Sake - That is almost exactly what I'm bringing too. I only got a handful of NB clothes and wanted to wait until after he was here to see if I needed more. I don't know if I have baby clippers either. hmmmm...
And yes! I hope it was him flipping too. I'm thinking he was only in an oblique position, not all the way breeched. I figure I'll do the exercise a few more times between now and Tuesday and see what the dr says.
