Strange question I know. Reason I ask....we have 2 wireless security cameras mounted at the front and back of our house. Had them for about 8 weeks now. They are set up to take pics when there is a change in pixels (it takes 4 to 5 pics each a few seconds apart) and email them to us. The back door camera has taken hundreds of pics. Last week we got an email with pics taken early am and holyshit the first image that triggered it is just crazy. A bright light that looks like plasma energy. The day before this image showed up, I attended a graduation where my son attended before he died (on March 1st in a fire) and walked accross the stage to accept his diploma for him. Unfinished business that he left undone. It was a highly emotional experience for me but I had to do it for him. It was the next morning when this image appeared. The security camera has no flash and is digital. Since then we have seen 3 more plasma images show up all at different times. Always the first image in the series.
I want to believe that this is my son trying to say "thank u" and let me know he is ok. My husband is just filled with joy about this. We even had a group called PROM (paranormal researchers of Maryland ) come to the house on Thursday to talk with us.
I would love to post one of the pics here but we are trying to be respectful of Jonathan's memory and not have these images float around the internet. Everyone that has seen the photos get goosebumps.
Do you believe that our departed loved ones can come back to us like this? Given my sons age (24) and that he was taken so suddenly, the whole unfinished business theory makes sense.
Diane- I absolutely believe. I think it is definitely possible that this is your son reaching out to you from beyond. I grew up in a house with unexplained activity, so there's no doubt it's possible for souls to be roaming around this earth.

I have no experience with paranormal activity of any sort, and I'm generally a skeptic. But I'm absolutely not arrogant enough to think that I know everything (or much of anything in regards to the paranormal!) and I think that it's entirely possible that Jonathan is reaching out to you.
I HOPE he is, because that would be wonderful and amazing and inspires hope in me!
I absolutely believe in the afterlife. After my grandma died, there were several times at family events where we took pictures and there was an "orb" where my grandma traditionally stood in pictures. This happened in several different locations, always next to my grandpa where she would've stood. Not to mention some of her most precious material items, like her favorite jewelry, that my grandpa packed away kept randomly showing up in places around the house, almost as if to say she didn't want them packed away. My grandpa soon gave them to my mom and aunt when this kept happening.
I think that sometimes things just can't be explained. You feel a presence and you just know it's them. Can't be explained to people who don't feel it. I don't think you're crazy, and that what you did for your son--receiving his diploma--was a great way to honor his memory. I believe that it absolutely could've been him.
I've never had something quite so incredible happen, but my grandma and I were extremely close and I definitely feel that she is with me sometimes. I usually "talk" to her when times are tough or when I'm facing something I don't quite know how to handle.
Wow, I got goosebumps reading yours post! After my grandma passed away, the same day early morning our doorbell rang for no apparent reason. There was no one at door. But it rang again. Mom thinks my grandma came to say goodbye to my dad.

I also believe when my sister in law boyfriend passed a butterfly landed on a sign near her and several times since she has butterflies land around here such as when she picked out her puppy a butterfly landed on him. Also the college I went to late at night we would be in the photography dark room and we Wouk see flash and sometimes hear the piano but nobody there. It's awesome you are experiencing this with your son.
I absolutely, 100% believe there is a afterlife, yes. If for no other reason than the fact that almost all people who have had near death experiences have reported the EXACT SAME THING happening to them.
Have you heard of the book "Heaven Is For Real"? You should read it; it's a true story about a little boy who almost died and started talking about all these things he couldn't have known. I find it very comforting.
A few nights after my dad died, my mom was asleep on the couch in the living room. She said she woke up because she heard a bell ringing. She opened her eyes and my dad was sitting in the chair across from her, looking healthy again, and just smiling. She said he was gone within an instant, but it really brought her comfort because she felt like he was telling her that he was OK.

Nope, I totally believe it.
I don't know that I've ever wrote about it, but my mom died suddenly in a motorcycle accident in 2005. And my husband (who was just a guy I met in school and was friendly with at the time) sent me a message to send me condolences and wanted to come visit me. He had the hots for me for awhile (lol), so I said okay and he did. It was totally our "first date" and I took him to the cemetery (he visited less than 2 weeks after her funeral). Morbid, yes. I told him that if I had a good dream that night, I would assume it was a message from my mom and that we were meant to be together. That night, I dreamt I was talking to my mom and she was sitting on a bed and I was in a connecting bathroom that I didn't recognize. She was telling me that he would be good for me and that it was a good decision. It took me almost a year to realize that the place my dream was set in was my MIL and FIL's old farm house -- a house I hadn't set foot in or even known about when I had the dream. Down to the lighthouse on the quilt and the color of the walls.
I have had a few other dreams since then. Mostly where I update her on my life and she tells me she is proud of me, that DS is precious and I should enjoy him while he is young. My cousin tends to have dreams that are real (like where she researches it and it's all true but she had no idea beforehand) and she had similar dreams -- even calling DS a nickname I hadn't called him in front of anyone else. So I'm with you on this, DT. It's so nice that he's sending you a sign.
I have never had quite that type of experience, but I was in a very bad car accident in 2002, 8 months after my grandmother died. I suffered a grade 3 concussion, and do not remember the accident at all(I woke up in the ambulance as they put my IVs in). Anyway, I was wearing two earrings that night, but only had one in at the hospital. I never went back to the car(or even saw pics of the car to this day). A few weeks later, my second earring just appeared on my dresser. I did not have a roommate at the time, and my bf(now DH) said he didn't put it there. I really think it was Grandma. I believe she kept me safe that night--If I was a few inches to the right or left, I could have suffered some major damage that could have resulted in death.
My DH lost his uncle, aunt, and 3 cousins in a plane crash in 1987. His father, who did not believe in ghosts, swears to this day, his brother visited him in his room.
I think your son is saying thank you, absolutely! I often think of you, and wonder how you are doing!
