I was in Sephora today and saw this little set: www.lovelyish.com/770407256/urban-decay-cosmetics-poses-the-question-how-much-naked-is-too-much-naked/ (scroll to the bottom of the post for the picture--it was one of only a handful I could find online) tucked away in a corner display. It's not on Sephora.com or Urban Decay's site, so I'm guessing they're doing a soft launch in-store now that will be followed up by a bigger online push after the holidays.
Anyone see and buy this one yet? I rarely buy nail polish before seeing swatches, but I'd be lying if I said that this set wasn't really tempted me to break that rule.
I think it is funny that the site questions when UD started making polish. Probably 16 or 17 years ago, UD made this dark, dark blue nail polish. I was going through my goth stage and never painted my nails, but I had to have it. I think I wore it once, but I freaking loved it!

I was thinking the same thing! They were the ones who spearheaded the current 'unusual color' trend (for lack of a better term) in the 90s. Some have always been around, like pastel blue, black, etc. but UD were the first ones I saw to release colors like gray, olive green, dark blue, etc. I have several of their polishes from before they stopped making them and I loved (and still love) the colors and quality. I was super bummed when they stopped making polishes, and I've bought a few of their limited release sets. I'm super psyched to see this Naked set.
Update: I got it today and I loooove it. I highly recommend it. I hurried up and bought two more - one to give as a gift, and a second one for myself. Those bottles are so little!
The one on the far left is a perfect non-sparkly nude, not too pink or yellowy. It's a good everyday basic. The second and third ones are also pale and a bit sheer - one is a metallic, and one is sparkly. The fourth one is a very pretty copper. I haven't tried the two on the right because they're fairly dark and my nails are bare right now. I didn't feel like putting on base coat and I don't want to stain my nails because I have another Christmas party this weekend and want to be able to wear one of the pale sheers. But I'll try them both afterward.
Yay for such a positive review! I ordered a set online that's supposed to arrive tomorrow, and am keeping my nails polish-free (heh, just typed "naked" and then realized how confusing that would be in this post) until then so I can start playing with the colors right away.
lol, sorry Kore! It is lovely though. It's kind of unusual to see neutral shades with so much thought put into them. I hope you like it as much as I do!
