Yeah, I really can't wait. I'm not sure when it's supposed to happen. I only read the first Kane Chronicles; I don't know as much about Egyptian mythology, so I felt like I was missing a lot of references. Yes, a middle-grades book made me feel stupid.
I really, really loved the first two parts of Hilary Mantel's Thomas Cromwell trilogy: Wolf Hall and Bring Up the Bodies. I don't think I've ever read better historical fiction. Wolf Hall was published in 08 I think but I didn't discover it until Bring up the Bodies came out this year.
