How long does your foundation last?

I put on my makeup at 6:30am, and have to touch it up with powder at about 11am and then again at 2 or 3. Though by the afternoon the foundation around my nose is almost gone.

I asked on here a few times for different recs trying to figure out if it was my lotion/washing routine of my primer/foundation. I've mixed it up and still the same problem.

I've come to the conclusion that this is just how it's going to be and I need to make sure I always have a pretty good powder to cover it up to make it through the day.

My foundations stays on all day as long as I use my primer (I use smashbox primer). But I don't have oily skin, so it probably helps.

Now that I use Hourglass mineral veil primer-- all day. It was still on at 10 PM last night.

That's the primer I'm using now based on the recommendation I got at Sephora. It's better than it was before, but my foundation still doesn't last.

I'm guessing it's just my oily skin.

sorry I have dry skin. But if I dont use primer my makeup does slide off anyway.

All day. If I was going out after work, I would maybe touch it up then, but I wouldn't have to. I don't use a primer, but I have very dry skin.

I have normal (lean dry skin) and mine doesn't last past 8 hours either. Hourglass made it go faster strangely. It's annoying, but I'm trying to accept I won't have makeup by the end of the day lol.

I've tried primers no primes, powders, liquids, setting sprays etc

I will confess I think I touch my face more than I realize, which I suspect does a lot of the wear and tear.

I use a makeup setting spray and feel like I can get 10 hours or so out of my foundation.
