For a variety of reason we have decided to use disposable diapers. So now I want to know which is better Huggies or Pampers (or neither). Tell me why you prefer one brand over the other. TIA!
We've used Pampers for day and when they start leaking overnight do Huggies for overnights. It really does depend on the kid. I guess the adult too, DH has been pooped/peed on one too many times to use generics.
I've used both and I prefer pampers in most sizes. Now that my huge child wears bed-wetting diapers full time we use huggies since they run larger.
I'd get a few small packages of both types of diapers. From what I can tell it is the shape of your child's body that really determines weather you like one brand or other the other. I always had accidents with huggies when my kids were under a year. I had babies with flat butts, big thighs and big bellies. I'd also try Up and Up diapers (target). A lot of people like them.
Huggies weren't good for DS. He kept leaking but I went ahead and used the package while I was on mat leave. Someone bought us the huggies naturals, not the regular ones. Not sure if that matters. We did use Target newborn (when we were going through a million a day) but stay with the Pampers now that he's in daycare and we don't really use many diapers. We use the 12 hour overnight diapers at night and like those as well.
I refuse to use pampers after the baby dry max fiasco and that the same stuff is still in there just not labeled. I don't trust them. We do huggies or sam's club.

we used pampers at first, then started having leaks. tried every brand imaginable. only ones that were leakproof for ds were target. plus they were cheaper! never really liked huggies- always leaked for us
We use pampers. They are the only ones that DS butt will handle. I have tried a couple different types of huggies and he breaks out to all of them. After all the rashes in the huggies I was nervous to try anything else so just stuck with the swaddlers.
It really depends on the kid. Ds is long and thin. We've used pampers swaddlers and huggies snugglers when he was in the 0-2 sizes, now we use size 3huggies.
I personally prefer the huggies diapers. they seem softer. They fit better around his legs and don't leave red marks. I the pampers have a perfume.
Both diapers are equally good at containing pee, and equally poor at preventing blowouts
I used Pampers forever then switched to Huggies after the Pampers had reports of chemical burns (dry max). Also Huggies were at Costco. I used most Huggies I our last kid. For the baby #4 ill probably do Zpampers at first then switch to Huggies at some point again. I never had leakage or blowout issues with either brand. I've never really tried generics/store brands.
Pampers are my fave out of those two. However, we use Target for overnight (we're trying to cloth diaper as much as we can during the day... will eventually do overnight as well)... they're just as good as Pampers and way cheaper!
And they have a cute blue/green polka dot pattern ;-)

We used Pampers Swaddlers when DS was a newborn. We switched to Target once he got in size 2's. We've had zero issues with them. We still use Pampers overnights though.

I've tried all the major brands and prefer Pampers. We had leakage issues with Huggies on both kids. DD2 wears the Pampers overnight diapers, too. She's a tummy sleeper so sometimes if she sleeps a really long stretch at night she wakes up a bit wet. I think we just need to go up a size in these once we finish the box we have.
We use a combo of cloth and sposies. I've used Target brand, Costco brand, and Luvs. Luvs is cheapest (through Amazon Mom) and they worked fine for both our kids.
We use Pampers. My parents have been using Huggies. When BabyBAMF comes home from being with them, he usually leaks. So put us on the unipressed w/ Huggies group.
We do pampers or Target. I do Pampers when I can combine coupons and sales. And Target when I am out of pampers. I think I am going to actually switch to Target once I use all the Pampers because they seem to fit skinny DD better.
