I always wondered if the pic of the xmas tree was really her tree. It just looked so staged and perfect. Especially since she'd posted a picture of a full shopping cart saying she was in the checkout line at costco about 45 minutes before she posted a pic of her tree saying that she'd "just put it up".

I have been close to people in situations like this before--hell, half my family is in "situation like this" territory--and none of it is really THAT strange for somebody with the problems she more than once openly said she has. In fact, it mostly sounds exactly right. I don't know why it is so impossible to believe that she engaged in a lot of nutty compulsive behavior (sex, toothbrushing. tamales, whatever) at a stressful time in her life. If anything, the BSC stuff corroborates what she said happened to her. I would be side-eying if she told us about all the shit that went down and then tried to pretend it never happened, honestly.

It bothers me when people joke and are so flippant about rape and domestic abuse in general. It would piss me off even if somebody I absolutely despised had it happen to them. When it turns into, "Oh, a domestic abuse victim is oversharing! Let's grab the popcorn!" game, I feel compelled to jump in. I know, I know.

I hope so. Because otherwise DAMN. It takes us hours to set up and decorate our tree, and we're not simultaneously unloading $500 worth of groceries from costco and keeping a toddler from "helping".
