1. Where are you in your cycle or TTC journey? CD34, 8 days past IUI#2
2. Any news/AWs/vents to share? Nope, not testing until Sunday
3. QOTW - What were you doing around this time 10 years ago? I graduated college and literally the next day started interning for a campaign, it was a really long summer

1. Where are you in your cycle or TTC journey? Cycle 16, CD13
2. Any news/AWs/vents to share? I am in a really bad funk since my ultrasound yesterday. She only found one good follicle, the other two were tiny. Then she measured my lining and it is way too thin. So now I am on Estradiol to help thicken my lining and they are doubling my Clomid dose next cycle. I am terrified I that doubling my Clomid will turn me psychotic, I already had horrible mood swings on my low dose. I told DH he should lock me up in a padded room. And what if the estradiol doesn't help my lining? Of course I googled thin lining last night and got really bummed. I am SO OVER THIS.
3. QOTW - What were you doing around this time 10 years ago? I was graduating high school and working my ass off to save up as much as I could to pay for my COL during college.

Hugs, I'm sorry you're down. Have you ever tried Femara? Apparently PCOS ladies respond better to it and there are fewer side effects. I personally had no side effects from Femara (but only got one follicle). I hope the estradiol helps your lining.

Have they talked about moving to injectibles? My first time around, clomid thinned my lining a lot after two cycles, and they moved me to injectibles, which is how I got my twins.

1. Where are you in your cycle or TTC journey? I'm 14dpIUI. My beta is tomorrow morning. I tested on 9 and 10 dpIUI and got BFNs but I know that's really early to test. If I get a BFN tomorrow, I'm going to ask about Femara
2. Any news/AWs/vents to share? We're leaving tomorrow for our first summer vacation. Yay!
3. QOTW - What were you doing around this time 10 years ago? Working at the same place, madly in love with one of my coworkers (who was my BFF at the time and didn't share the feelings), running lots of miles each week, living alone, etc.

I can't tell if you're asking yellowbird or me but I'm moving to injectibles next. Insurance just denied Follistim so I have to use Gonal-F. Is there a big difference?

Sorry, I was talking to yellowbird. but it applies to you too. That's great that your insurance will cover Gonal-F. I don't think there is a big difference between any of them. I used follistim the first time around. This cycle, I used Bravelle. The RE did bravelle this cycle b/c I think the dose is easier to control/use in tiny bits, whereas the follistim has to be used in specific units that are larger doses. None of these were covered by my insurance, although the bravelle was much less expensive than the follistim.

Butting in--have you tried pomegranate juice to thicken your lining? It can definitely help, and is really good for you anyway. You only need a few oz. a day to make a difference, start CD1 and go through O.

Not yet. The plan was to try Clomid for 3 months and then if that didn't work do Clomid + IUI. I guess if this next cycle with higher dose of Clomid & Estradiol doesn't work I will ask about Femara or injectables.

GL!
No, I haven't heard of that. I will definitely give it a try. Thanks!
Not really sure that I exactly fit in here, but what the hell?
1. Where are you in your cycle or TTC journey? Went off the pill as of May 14th. We're still "avoiding" for a couple months, trying to figure out what my cycle is like. Wouldn't be so bad if we got pregnant right this moment, but July or after would be more ideal!
2. Any news/AWs/vents to share? I'm in my BFF's wedding this Saturday and in my mind this event has been one of my "last hurrahs," if you will, before being ready to TTC.
3. QOTW - What were you doing around this time 10 years ago? I was just finishing my junior year of high school and was SO ready to be a senior by this point.
1. Where are you in your cycle or TTC journey? Trying since August, CD26, pretty sure I'm 6DPO. I did get a positive OPK on CD19, temp shift and EWCM, so all signs point to yes.
2. Any news/AWs/vents to share? I'm a little frustrated - my RE's nurse seemed to imply that just because my LH surge wasn't until CD19, that this cycle was out and we needed to move on to next cycle (meaning increased doses of Femara). Is a CD20 ovulation really that late? I guess I'm not ready to count this one out yet!
3. QOTW - What were you doing around this time 10 years ago? I had recently graduated from college, and was working in my crappy post-undergrad, pre-grad school job in advertising sales. I was trying to maintain a relationship with a boy I had met and dated in London the year before (we ended up staying together for another year). I was living with my parents because my job paid a terrible salary, and I knew I was leaving the country in another few months.
DHs parent's are 80 and 81 this year, and I so badly want this for them, as much as I want it for myself. It will kill me if one of them passes before we have gotten pregnant. They're so amazing, and would be fantastic grandparents.
They had DH in their 40's after years of trouble TTC, and DH is turning 41 this year. (Hence their older age.)

1. Where are you in your cycle or TTC journey? CD1 Been TTC for over 2 years
2. Any news/AWs/vents to share? Nothing much. I'm just frustrated by the costs of IVF. Our insurance doesn't cover anything IF related and my body doesn't want to respond to anything.
3. QOTW - What were you doing around this time 10 years ago? I was in middle school.

She's an idiot.
Signed, Pregnant with a CD22-24-ish O date baby
I guess her concern might be that if you're O-ing late but still having 28-ish day cycles, your luteal phase might be too short for implantation to occur. This can be connected to low progesterone, which can be fixed with supplements. You might want to ask them to check your progesterone--I started supps at 3DPO and took them through first tri since I always had short LPs and low progesterone.
Thanks for the reassurance. I have no idea how short/long this cycle might end up being, as it's my first medicated cycle. On my "normal" unmedicated cycles, I was o-ing way later than that, and my cycles were usually 38-40+ days (of course, none of those resulted in a BFP). She sounded like the concern was even with Femara, I was still o-ing late, even though I'm on a fairly high dose.
We'll see - I have my cheap-o test strips, so I can test as early and as often as I want!

Ditto what nqb said about clomid thinning your lining. My RE said it was good that I only did two cycles of clomid with my ob, many more could have caused issues. I had less emotional side effects with all of the drugs for IVF than I did with my second cycle of clomid too.
