For a font size workaround, press ctrl = to make your font size bigger. If you use a tabbed browser it should only affect this tab. If you press it too many times, press ctrl -.

When I try to change settings (like the color), I can select it, and hit "save settings", but when the page refreshes, it's still on the old setting.

Also, it won't let me upload an avatar...

i can't use CTRL to open a thread in a new tab in firefox 10.0. it works for quotes, replies, and other miscellaneous things, and also works in IE9.

The text is small, but there is a lot of extra empty space.  Like in this thread, someone will have a one-sentence reply but it takes up 2.5 inches of screen space with the avatar box & extra spacing in their signature.

Is there now a mobile version? I am on my phone (but not the app - I was not an app fan) and am not liking it.

I wish I could figure out how to share a screen shot, but it is hard to read and some of the boxes/fields overrun the background formatting (horrible explanation, I know)

I really liked before how the site looked the same from my phone and from my desktop. I can't imagine that what I am seeing on my phone looks like what it would look like from my comp. it looks like a site from 1990 that a 15 yo designed.

I know change is never fun, and I am sure the roll out comes with lots of work and whining. Thanks for putting up with everything Ellie!

Hmm, I'm using the basic layout and I don't see the smileys I listed.  I do see a few of the ones we used to use on TN but not the ones I mentioned.  There's also a bunch of crappy and tiny presumably PB default ones.

You're right - it looks like only some of them made the switch. I'll add the rest later.

Been kind of lurking around here since you all kicked everyone else's butts on points.  ;)   Nice board. I hope you don't mind me posting!


I just wanted to mention that if you're getting invalid request/
possible forgery errors while using quick reply, this is a bug we're
having on my board as well. Patrick is aware of it and said the
developers would look at it today.




The issue with login problems and being shown as a guest is also
happening with us. I have a thread on support about it. Seems to be
related to using the "ignore users" code in my case. Did you all have
that one on your v4 board?

I notice I can't switch between visual and bbcode tabs here, either. So now I know that's not just my board (phew).


Will also mention that the page changer is supposed to float down
the page with you as you scroll, so that's why there's not a second one
on the bottom.


RE: Hiding avatars- i made a request on support to have a plugin made, so hoping that will happen. In the meantime, my coding admin has made his own. Not sure if he'd let me share it, but I can ask, if you like. He's got one that will hide all, and one that will hide specific ones (like if they're flashy and you're sensitive to that).

the format on the board is very wonky for me, no lines, everything is jumbled together, I am on a netbook but using chrome.. is there any way that I can fix it?

I believe the 'non-floating' issue may be related to browser version, but neither Patrick nor Martyn has said.

We've also noticed that some users are seeing ugly white pages with just the list of links because their browsers aren't loading the css properly.











for login problems, Keith (one of the developers) posted the following in my thread:

Some users who are experiencing login problems are reporting that they have found a workaround - by logging in while in Private Browsing (also known as Incognito) mode. This is merely a temporary workaround, and we're actively working on the problem, but please try it to see if it works for you.

I will talk to Virgil about the avatar plugin. I misspoke on the 'hide all avatars' part though. It actually hides the default avatar (the generic dude that you see if someone doesn't have one specifically selected). So if a user has none, you see nothing.





The other one adds a Hide Avatar option to the gear icon in each post. You're also supposed to be able to doubleclick to hide but that doesn't seem to be working at the moment.

Um....so I saw this question a while back, but can't find it again.  Sorry.  How do we change the color format of the board?  It's mostly white now, which I'd like to change.  

On the old board, we could change from white to blue background.  Can I do that here?  If so, how? I don't see a link in the "Profile" section above.  Thanks!

Go to Profile and click Edit Profile on the right, then you should have a Settings tab.

I don't know, I'm on Chrome and I see links as links.
