I'm watching of course. This is flameful, but I wish this was a school day so I could watch in peace. My kids are kind of annoying me. Plus I feel guilty, like I should be playing with them instead of trying to corral them in front of the other TV!
We were there in 2008 and when I look at the pictures of the crowd today, it looks very similar. Not quite as much of a clusterfuck, but seriously crowded! I wonder what the second term Bush crowd looked like, or even second term Clinton. I never imagined there were this many people who came out for these things.
Someone on my FB feed was criticizing Malia's tights and coat combo....I mean really, we need to judge the fashion of children? I think those girls always look great. Heck, the entire FAMILY always dresses so nicely. It just goes to show that people can complain about anything.
Someone on my FB (a teacher, someone I would consider very well educated), just posted: "Of COURSE Obama would take the opportunity to capitalize on MLK Day. Disgusting."
Um. Whut. This doesn't even make sense. If you're going to gripe about the President, at least pick something legit.
LOL That teacher needs to take a history lesson. Inauguration is always on Jan 20 unless it falls on a Sunday, in which case it will be the following Monday. Yeah.... Obama capitalizing on MLK. mmmk

I guess she's of the 'ignorance is bliss' mindset?
