What brings you here? I'm a long time MM lurker, occasional poster. I was always drawn to the @ topics because it was where I was 'at', so I'm really excited about this sub group!
-If you have children, what are their ages? Do you plan on having any more? Do you currently work outside the home? tickers below for my 2 boys and their ages. We are planning on one more, TTC right now (testing Sunday).
I'm in Canada so I'm currently on a 1 year maternity leave. If all goes as planned, I'll be at home pregnant for my 1st trimester with baby #3, return to work for 6 month and put in my required 600 hours, then be off on another 1 year maternity leave. I work for a major university in fundraising/alumni relations.
-If you are TTC, how long has your journey been so far? this is our first month of TTC#3 (both my boys were conceived quickly - 2nd month for #1, 1st month for #2).
Been TTC since July with PCOS and mild MFI. My second IUI will hopefully be next week. I work as an attorney but I may be kissing the work force goodbye come December. I have two furbabies. I would like two or three human children.
I'm 21ish weeks pregnant with #1 after two miscarriages. It's a boy, name TBD. I'll be going back to work but I'm hoping to take a slightly extended maternity leave if my boss goes for it.

I have one 6 mth old. I live in Canada so I am halfway thru my 1 yr low paying mat leave. We arent 100% sure what will happen then. I have to go back to work a little for the money but mostly for my benefits, thus no part time option. If things go well when I go back, then we may go for another within 6 mths of my return. Kids about 2 yrs apart mostly because I am old. 35.

I like having people who understand where I'm coming from to vent to, and DH just doesn't get it sometimes.
I have one DD, age 2. Can't have more because I hemorrhaged and flat-lined twice during childbirth and no longer have a ute.
I work part time from home and to a lot of volunteer/charity stuff as well.
DH is only home on weekends because he works in another city three hours away.
Also, so far DD has taken the latice off the inside of the window somehow and peed on the carpet already tonight. Soon as DH come home tonight, nothing will separate me from the wine bottle.
Been TTC for 1.5 years. Just had a polyp removed 4 weeks ago and waiting to do IUI in the next few weeks. I work for a photographer and am hoping to start my own business in the next year. I have 2 furbabies. As far as kids go I would be fine with one and done but DH wants 2.

DS is 2, DD is 6 weeks. We are undecided on more children. I don't work right now.
I separated from the Air Force when DS was 15 months. I went back to work last October. Shortly after, DH got orders to transfer to a base in another state. I quit in February in anticipation of the move. I would like to go back eventually, but right now I'm still pumping. It will be almost impossible to find a job as a pharmacist where I will have the opportunity to pump. I plan to start looking for a job once I'm done. Right now I plan to go for 6 months, but will reevaluate when that gets closer.
I followed MM over (was a non regular on MM, BAH, and sometimes the tax board when there were questions under a different username).
I'm currently 33w 4d. This is our first and is a boy. I am super excited to have our family/friends baby shower in just over a week. It's a couples BBQ and DH keeps referring to it as our "baby party". I think he's very excited!
Taking about 8+ weeks off and then going back to work. I'm kind of excited that my leave falls during the summer olympics!
ETA: We plan on having 2 kids - maybe 4 years apart. Currrently we have 2 dogs who are spoiled.
What brings you here? I migrated over with MM in general, and I'm a mom
-If you have children, what are their ages? Do you plan on having any more? Do you currently work outside the home? We have a 2yo. We might adopt another, but $ is a consideration. I'm a SAHM and occasional freelancer
-If you are pregnant, how far along are you? Do you plan on working outside the home after the child is born? N/A
-If you are TTC, how long has your journey been so far? N/A. We TTC'd for about 3 years. Our adoption process was another 10 months.
-Feel free to explain other reasons (general curiosity, boredom, etc.)

-What brings you here? I've been posting on MM since our wedding in 2006. I've been fed up with TN/TB for awhile now but didn't want to lose touch with everyone.
-If you have children, what are their ages? Do you plan on having any more? Do you currently work outside the home? I have a 2 year old and a 9 month old (see tickers); both are girls. We were considering having a 3rd child but are pretty sure that we are now done. Having two mobile kids so close in age has been exhausting and I'm pretty certain that adding another child to the mix would cause me to lose what's left of my mind. If we do have another, it won't be for quite some time. I am currently a SAHM although I've recently started to look for a PT job in my field.

I like the MM posts. I do not post often, only when I have something to add or have a question. I have four kids age 5 and under. I just miscarried this past week (not a planned PG) which let me know we want to have another one. I have a small consulting business and also invest to make additional income.
What brings you here? I've lurked on and off before and then jennylove mentioned that there was a mom's bored here so I thought I'd come over. Working in Finance I kind of think about money a lot so enjoy reading the different posts
-If you have children, what are their ages? Do you plan on having any more? Do you currently work outside the home? Just an inside baby right now
-If you are pregnant, how far along are you? Do you plan on working outside the home after the child is born? I'm 38 weeks and 3 days. If I haven't gone on my own I'll be induced on Tuesday at 39 weeks. I will be going back to my current job after wards
What brings you here? you are my peoples! I've been on MM since 2006 when I got married.
-If you are pregnant, how far along are you? Do you plan on working outside the home after the child is born? I will be 28 weeks on Tuesday. We are having a girl and naming her Gretchen. I will pretty much be a SAHM. I'm going "relief" at work after my 12 weeks of FMLA which means I will pick up shifts when there are openings and they need me. Ideally 2 shifts a week but that's a pipe dream right now as our census is so low they are sending people home We have a daycare spot though and will pay for 2 days a week whether or not we use it. My hope is to make enough each month to pay for the 8 days of daycare (would need 4 shifts to do this) and hopefully things will pick up over time. Maybe I will find a job share partner and go back PT eventually. We'll see. We want to have another in a couple of years so I don't plan to go back FT before that happens.
Since some people don't have tickers anymore or never did.

I'm a mom to an almost 11 month old boy. I've been a SAHM since he was born and was getting comfortable with the idea of SAH for a while. Now that we are moving I am itching to go back to work again, so we'll see what happens in the next few months. I like exchanging advice with others, especially now that DS is acting more like a toddler :-P
Hello, I would mostly lurk on MM b/c it would inspire me to pay more attention to my daily spending and budget. I really only ever replied to the @ posts so this sub board is great.
I have three year old twin boys and I work FT in finance (go figure I'm on MM looking for advice!)

Three boys. Twins who are five and a three year old. I worked full time until two years ago when I dropped to 30 hours. In the fall the twins will be starting kindergarten and the "baby" will start preschool! Time as literally flown and I can't believe we are out of the baby stage and on to school age issues.
No more kids for us. I am 41 and DH just turned 42. We have quite enough to keep us busy at this point!
Hi. I have two boys--Henry is 4.5 and Alexander just turned 2. We are very much on the fence about a third. If we decide to abandon all logic and reason and have one more kid, we will likely TTC within the next year. I am an attorney and work more or less full-time by normal standards, though I am technically on a 75% plan at a large law firm.
I have lurked or posted on MM on and off since 2008 under a few different screen names. I do also post on the bump and usually keep my baby related posting there. I think I will like this board though.
I am a SAHM to two boys, ages 2 and almost 2 months. I have had one loss at around twelve weeks, but got pregnant easily all three times. We are still undecided on a third. I am 32 now and if we don't decide to pull the trigger in the next couple of years dh will probably get snipped. I will probably go back to work at least part time in 3-5 years if we don't have a third.
I have one 2 1/2 year old DD and another one the way - due in the beginning of November. I would like to have one more after that before calling our family complete. I was a teacher before having my daughter, and went back to work briefly to finish out the school year before becoming a SAHM.
I'm pretty happy staying home, but would love to find some part time work, so both my brain and my bank account could be growing more rapidly! I have had a hard time finding anything of the sort, so I try to stay involved with Moms groups and community activities to get myself out of the house from time to time.
MM was the first nest board I lurked on after being forced off the nest. I have stuck around for 4yrs.
I'm 37 weeks now I'm on a year's maternity leave, then most likely back to work. If I want to be a sahm mon tho we are in the position where dh's income would keep us afloat. So I don't have to decide any time soon
What brings you here? I was on the knot when planning the wedding, the booted me to the nest and found MM right away. We were in debt big time and all the tips I got from MM, got us debt free in less than 2 years. I will follow MM anywhere
-If you are pregnant, how far along are you? 9 weeks tomorrow Do you plan on working outside the home after the child is born? I work from home full time and plan to after the baby, baby will be in daycare Tues - Fri
Since some people don't have tickers anymore or never did.
What brings you here? Longtime lurker but liked the @ posts on MM because everyone is sane
-If you have children, what are their ages? Do you plan on having any more? Do you currently work outside the home? My DS is 1. We are 1 and done. Yes I do work outside my home

I have a 2.5 year old DS and and almost 32 weeks pregnant with DS#2. I am happy with 2 kids but my husband wants 3 so I guess we will see what happens. I am currently a SAHM but I miss working and would love to go back part time after DS#2 is 6 months old.
