So, I changed the subject of one of the emails the app sends when it crashes to "patrick help with app" and added this to the email:


"Ok listen. I was one of your biggest fans and loved the fact that I could have an app to do my chatting.
I was super enthusiastic and referred a lot of people to buy it.

It is absolutely USELESS now. There is no way to upload pictures, it crashes all the time.
You can't see avatars you can't even SEE pictures anymore. Please fix this. I don't want to stop using the board.

PATRICK HELP PLEASE!"

This was his response.


"We have a new version of the app that Apple is reviewing this week. We expect it to be available within 7 days.

What is wrong with just using your browser? I can see everything and post just fine. No app required.

You do not have to pay again.  The free update has been submitted to Apple and it's currently awaiting their review.

I didn't pay for an app only to be forced to use my browner. Plus using the browser is very slow, it doens't fit the screen well and it's hard to quote people, etc.

7 days cant come fast enough!

What is wrong with the forum?  Earlier today there was a brief blip that our server admins very quickly fixed, and right now pages are loading lightning fast for me.  This forum is on our fastest server and seems to be going at super speed for me.

No, the company that makes our app does not support polls in their forum app, so that feature will not be available to us to use.

Thanks for those details.  I think this isn't specific to the android app, it looks to be a v5 bug.  I will get our developers right on fixing this.

When you say you can't post pics, you mean attachments?

Also, I'm not sure what you mean by "something to do with MSN" - can you be more descriptive, or take a screenshot, and once you are on a desktop computer upload it so that I can see what you are talking about?

The posting pictures from the app issue is getting fixed right now.  I just talked to our dev in charge of implementing the app functionality and he's working on that right now.

You're going to need to give me more details than that (I'm not psychic ).  Do you get an error message?  What does it say?  Are you typing your username in lowercase (alzi)? Are you typing in your password correctly?

I keep trying my username login AND the secure email login. Just keeps rejecting me. It's the same password that lets me log in on the website.

It says user name invalid. Which it's obv not.

alzi, when that has happened to me in the past (a few times), I've ended up deleting the app from my phone and then reinstalling. That fixed the log-in issue.
