Good afternoon ladies! Cooper arrived via c-section on January 17th at 12:26p.m. Both of us are doing great! Birth story: H and I checked in to the hospital on Wednesday night at 8pm and they started me right away on cervadil. Everything went well over night and the next morning the Dr came in and broke my water. I got to 2cm before breaking down and getting an epidural. They got me the epidural and I was doing awesome!! I got to 4cm on my own and the nurse started really watching my contractions. Next thing I know, the Dr is watching my contractions and tells me thay his heart rate was dropping after every contraction and that it would be best to go ahead and do a c-section. Of course we said do what she needed to do to get him in my arms healthy and safe. Within 5 min I was being prepped for a c-section and I was off to the operating room. H got into the room and said that they had already started cutting me open. The nurse had a hard time finding him scrubs...he's 6'4" and they tried to give him a size M and didn't seem in too much of a hurry to get him the right size. Within seconds it seemed I hear the sound of my crying baby boy. It was the best sound in the entire world!! They found the cord wrappped around his neck and arm. The part around his arm was the part causing him the distress. They rushed him over so the nurses could check him out and then they allowed my H to cut the cord. Next thing I know I have my beautiful baby boy laying on my chest. It was absolutely the best feeling in the entire world!!! I'm not sure how to post pics on here so if you would like to see pics please feel free to friend request me on facebook. My name is Terri, if you didn't know and I'm friends with mostly everyone on here except a few.
Love that he's already a Lightning fan. I was going to buy a thunderbug stuffed animal when we were at the game last Saturday, but the line was too long - and I wanted to get back to the game. I told my husband we need to get one next time we're at a game

Glad to hear everyone's doing well. I had a problem with D's heart rate dropping too, but I didn't need a c section. I agree, whatever it takes. Congrats!
