H&G? NH&G? Is there a challenge?
I'm going to start tackling the little things on my pre-sale list. Like paint the upstairs bathroom radiator and small kitchen window. Also shop for a ceiling fan for the back porch and help DH in the downstairs bathroom.
We don't have any NH&G plans. I want to hit the hot tub one night with some friends and a bottle of wine though.
Hmm....not sure. I really need to clean our kitchen cabinets and mop the floors. I also need to go through a laundry basket of clothes and toss/donate what I don't want anymore. No real NH&G plans. Maybe hit the gym a time or two. I'm checking out a second hand store with a friend on Sunday. Hopefully it'll be warm enough to go sledding with little Wop too.
I'm on bathroom duty because apparently H can't stand having the basement in disarray, and his handyman skills are minimal. I need to paint the upper walls deep navy, the lower walls white in prep for putting up board and batten. Then I'll be putting down the few remaining tiles that I had to bring to my dad's house to cut on his wet saw since my tile saw can't cut off less than 2", grout the place up, and my only non DR plans are to go off to ooh and ahh at my step sister's first wedding dress shopping experience.
I've come to rely on my weekend challenges as motivation so we should pick something. I think a cleaning challenge was mentioned earlier this week. Maybe deep clean one room?

Just some cleaning. We have a closet that DH likes to throw random crap in when he doesn't know where it goes, so we're tackling it.
I'm also thinking about cleaning my oven. I have a self cleaning oven, but I haven't used it yet. Should I wait until it's a little warmer so I can air the house out?
Working on the nursery. I want things done enough to be comfortable before my shower an not feel rushed.
Otherwise laundry and cleaning since who knows what the weather will be like. They have called for snow twice already and none happened. Tonight they're calling for it again.
Forcing myself to do my four day prescribed bed rest . An elevator at work dropped three floors while we were in it and the jarring pulled some of my round ligaments. Luckily, the baby is fine and the hospital said that he didn't seem to care! I just need to rest my sore ligaments and back until Monday. Maybe I'll talk H and dad into replacing the front door this weekend so I feel like something got done!

That sounds terrifying! So glad you and baby are ok.

Our main goal this weekend is: Move Out of the Basement!
That means a few more paint touch ups with the new color (I painted the whole bedroom and then decided I didn't like the color and repainted it just the other day). Take off the paper I put down to protect the floor under the drop clothes and touch up an area of the poly.
We also are going to try to finish the mud in the closet, prime, and texture. Then I can start painting it this week. I'm of course making things difficult for myself and painting a pattern on the walls because I love the look of wallpaper in walk-in closets but I want the ease of painting over it in the future. Maybe start on the mud in the bathroom after we clean all of the tools and supplies out of it. Hopefully I can take some more recent bathroom pictures to share of the finished tile.
Then we're going to move all of our clothes and dressers up into the spare bedroom while we build the closet system. Move the bed and mattress back into the master bedroom. See if we can be quite enough to not wake each other up while we're sleeping since we have no doors on the bedrooms yet (DH and I work different shifts). *crosses fingers*
ETA: Here's the pattern I want to paint in the master closet only in a bigger size. And I'm not putting it on the ceiling. I'm going to try to use frog tape and a lot of measuring LOL. We'll see how that goes. The paint colors will be the combination of the master bedroom and master bathroom colors using the left over paint.

That sounds horrific. Glad you're ok.
Yes that's scary! I'm glad you and the baby are OK. Maybe get a good book and dive into that while you're resting.
Oh I love that! Yeah I was thinking something about that scale/size. I don't want to make this too complicated. It's going to be an ivory wall with medium brown lines.
Haha yes pitterboo my saving grace is that the majority of it will be covered with clothes either way. It will show the most on the two short walls and above the top shelf. Really it's silly that I'm going through the trouble of doing it but it's my dressing room and I want to make it a little girly. I also want to find a brightly colored rug for the space too. Something fun with a big pattern.

Oo I kinda love that Sharpie idea...I might have to steal that one!
I have girl's night out tonight, a Stella & Dot party tomorrow morning, and a festival thing at DS' school in the afternoon, which honestly is feeling like too much socializing in one 24 hour period for me. I want to rehang a too-low mirror in our bedroom and hang some photos in the LR too. I've been putting it off for months. And I want to run at least 10K coz I'm feeling like I'm struggling to keep going with the whole weight loss thing lately.
We are going to Menard's tonight to buy some shelving. The pantry need's more shelves so that is on the list for the weekend. And cleaning and laundry.

I posted in the other one that we're having a lazy weekend, with just some gardening and minor cleaning projects. We're also going to go to the ReStore in the big town down the hill (LOL, how generic!) in order to check out their stuff/see what's available/etc.
We got preliminary loan approval today pending receipt of a few documents and a re-inspection by the FHA appraisal guy (OMG. No kidding) to recheck that the sellers installed carbon monoxide detectors and did it properly.
OMG I didn't realize that was with Sharpie! Duh I didn't click on the link but I was going to look at it tonight. Hmm I was going to use thicker lines than a Sharpie but not that much thicker...
Do you think I could run with the Sharpie twice to make it thicker? Should I stick with brown or go with a gold? The closet system is going to be stained cherry and the handles on the drawers will be black iron to match our dresser. I love the black on cherry look so I ordered that hardware at the same time. Because of that I was thinking of using ORB hanging rods and pull outs. Of course the wooden hangers still have a silver hook on them so I'm not sure another metallic would look good.
Dang I just assumed the water based paint pen came in the same colors the Sharpies did. Hm I think silver would look better with bright white vs. the ivory color I wanted to use.

Hi ladies.....hope everyone is doing ok. I just finished week off my feet with this hard cast on my ankle while it heals. It has been a hard 4 weeks but my pain has leveled off and I finally got approved to start working from home. Woohoo....it took forever to get thru all the red tape and mountain of paperwork that the fed govt makes you go thru. I ran out of sick leave last week and I still have a long road ahead, including a second surgery.
Tomorrow is my wonderful niece Allie's wedding and sadly I can't go (7 hours in a car is just too much, my doctor agreed as well). But my family is going to Skype me in so I can see all the fun stuff. I can't wait to see her in her wedding dress! I plan to dress up, do my hair and make up, and have champagne ready to toast the happy couple. There is supposed to be a fun dance flash mob kind of thing so I hope I can see that.
davescatch too bad you can't go to the wedding, but that's great that you will be skyped in. My SIL had her DD (my niece) the day before my wedding and we were both a bit disappointed in the timing. She really tried to hold it in, but such is life.
Fox, I think the silver metallic sounds good with everything else you have going on. I'd like to hear about the auction after. I love the oriental rug look and keep trying to think of ways to get the ones that my Dad still has at his house.
This board makes me miss home ownership! We sold our last home prior to my husband's current deployment because a house, a toddler, three acres and full-time school did not sound like fun. I'm jealous of all you DIYers and decorators. SO fun.
This weekend, myself and two of my partners are representing our brewery at Winterfest in Indianapolis. So, if you're in the area and like beer (and happen to be a ticket holder, since they're sold out) you should check it out

Tomorrow is our (fourth) trip to the vet in a month to see if we can finally figure out what is causing her horrid itching and allergies. Blah. I want one Sat. where I can sleep in and not have a vet visit. Then I'm getting a hair cut/color and random errands. I think we may see Movie 43 tomorrow night.
Sunday our trainer is coming over to work with Rox, then I have papers to grade
I think I'll try to pull together the guest room/office. It's been a sad project limping along for ages. and I'm going to go order me up a tabletop for a coffee table I fell in love with last weekend.
