Hi Sara!  I just joined a moms group on Meetup and see that you are a member.  I ran into a friend of mine at library class last week and she told me about the group as she is a member.  I am going to the park play date tomorrow.  Have you been to any events?  Do you know anyone in the group?

Hi! I meant to make it to a couple events but something's always kind of come up, so nope, nothing yet. I'm pretty sure I'm about to be removed because I just got the auto email saying its dues time and 2 events a month are mandatory and violators will be banished. I don't know anybody yet. There is a girl I've met once through our husbands but we don't have enough in common to ever really chill again. We would be friendly at a meetup event but wouldn't plan our own. I'd like to do one of the museum meet ups, I've been told Amelia is a good age for some stuff there. The park stuff seems to be a lot of older kids so I think I'd be the only mom chasing the baby around. Those groups might be better for us when she's a couple years older. For now I've been spending our afternoon opportunities at the Y. We both get to play there:). And I want to check out a baby wearing group meetup where I automatically know we have something in common. And I'm always down with meeting anyone of you chicas for some good times!

Yeah, it might be hard for me to make it to the events, although I am always up for the park and can always do the library so that will get me to meet the minimum.  A lot of things Ethan isn't old enough to do, so if it costs money, it's not worth it for me to go and pay when he can't do anything there.  So once he's older it will be nice....although I will eventually be going back to work so then I likely won't be able to make it to anything!

I am going to pay the dues tomorrow so that I can remain in the group although I only joined one week ago.  The girl I know in it I know her from college and she lives in Westchase so I do have stuff in common with her.  Guess I will go and check it out.  Maybe sometime I will see you there.  We definitely need to plan to meetup at the mall or something.  I'm typically pretty available so let me know what works for you!
