PP Cycles

Anyone have any insight into how long your cycles were regular after childbirth (if you had irregular cycles?)  I had my IUD removed even though I I LOVED it because my Dr. is concerned that it wasn't treating my PCOS, it was just preventing pregnancy locally.  I told him that my cycles were regular and he said that they were not regular because of the Mirena or that my body had fixed itself, they were regular because of my recent pregnancy (apparently 20 months ago = recent.) 

Help?
