Vent: H and I want to bring my niece here for her spring break. It will be possibly the only time we can since H is slated to leave soon and by the time he gets back we will probably be getting ready to move. My brother has said no. I am now trying to get ahold of my Sister-in-law to beg her to let us bring her here. They don't have to pay for anything the only thing they are responsible for is getting her to the airport. And hell I am sure if they ask my parents would do it. I also called my mom to work on my brother. I am a bratty younger sister. And no they aren't doing anything over spring break. I have a feeling she has to stay to help with her brothers and sisters who 3, 2, and one. Grrrr.

That's lame ilovecandy. I hope you are able to break her free of the babysitting duties.
AW: I got my bike on Saturday and I love it. I rode it Sunday morning and was in such a good mood the entire day. Also, TMI AW, but I am pretty sure the bleeding from my m/c has stopped. This has also done wonders for my overall mood and mental health.
Random: I wore flip flops to work today (we are casual) because it was 61 degrees. I am hoping by dressing for spring I can get mother nature to kick over to spring for good from here on.
I had my blood draw yesterday. I'm a bit worried they didn't draw for the right things though. She didn't know what APA meant on the order sheet from the RE and the RE mentioned to me in our meeting that he did a different APA panel from most drs. I was at a different office for the blood draw, but the phlebotomist went out and asked some people and came back with an answer. I just hope it was the right one. So hopefully Monday I'll have some answers on the APA panel and natural killer cells.
In the meantime, I've finally started my new, supposedly lower stress job. Hours are definitely better, but it's kind of lonely (My best friend is one of my previous coworkers and the environment was more collaborative and younger). Also, I'm starting to piece together what my actual job is and it's going to be rough to pick up pieces that were scattered after the last guy left abruptly and wasn't here long enough to have taken everything on himself. So it's been years since this position was actually organized. And of course, my supervisor is out on federal jury duty until who knows when so I'm on my own.

Hey guys, I'm 3dpo of my last cycle before ivf. I just wish it would hurry up! We need the time in order to save $$$ though and I'm hoping to get my taxes done so we can use any return for the ivf.
discogranny - where do you live that you can ride a bike in February? I'm so jealous..

I hope you get a giant return icedgems and I also hope that you get a last minute "freebie" with the cycle.
I live in Texas, in the DFW area. The high today is 72. I know, we are *super* lucky. The extreme heat in the summer is not so awesome though.

Saying that, I was in Dallas last December (2011) and it was way colder than Canada (where I live). My rental car didn't have an ice scraper and I had to phone DH and ask him what to do - it was really cold and icy. I love the DFW area.

Oh, so jealous of the 72! Although I can't do too hot. I need to live somewhere where it's 72 all year round! (As I look out the window and it's snowing. ^o))
72 sounds amazing! It is like 20 here, which is a heat wave compared to the past few weeks. Plus, it snowed today
My RE's office was get me in this week (vs the next opening in late March). I am annoyed that it is at 8:00 and over 45 minutes away, so I have to get up even earlier than usual.
I am so tired today. I am thinking of going to bed soon. It is 7:40

Vent: I'm in the 2WW but pretty sure AF is on the way. As usual. This would have been perfect too...could have been pregnancy buddies with my sister and another girlfriend who are due Sept & Oct. But I still keep squeezing my boobs to see how tender they are...LOL. This stuff has made me into a crazy person.
Hehe lol at squeezing boobs, I do that too when I get to 7DPO.
My random: I had day one of a 3 day workshop at the coaching type place that my current employer sent me to to help me get ready to find anohter job (since they've let me know they're going to have to let me go, not super quickly, but eventually, they will.) Anyways, it was a whole day with a group, mostly about finding yourself. One of the things we did was sit in a circle, had everyone look at you, and without knowing what you did, what your situation is and such, tell you what character traits they noticed, what impression they made, or just words that popped in. The idea was that what they see without knowing you comes close to the first impression you make on possible future employers, so you can either try to chance things, or make that work to your advantage. It was really cool, until someone said "caring" and then some guy said "mother", and that's when I got glassy watery eyes and I felt myself tense up, so I got "insecure". Uhm. Yeah, sitting there receiving compliments didn't make me insecure, the fact that someone said that I'm caring and a mother made me sad. How I wish the latter part was true.
Anyways, I got over it and after a coffee break I was able to see it as the compliment it was, I am seen as a caring, maternal person, which is perfectly fine.
Cheesecake, I would hate that activity. That seems like it could go very poorly. I see the point of finding out what sort of a first impression you make, but to me that would do the exact opposite of providing me with any sort of self-confidence to overcome those first impressions.
That is cool of your current employer to send you to something like that before having to let you go.
pamela, it was actually really cool. It's amazing when people who are in similar situations (looking at a new step in career/life) but don't know anything about each other and aren't allowed to tell each other what they do, just look at you. not your career, your house, your car, your partner, just you. The things that come through -for all of us - were crazy accurate regarding our personalities. It was things like caring, analytical, a reader, a go-getter, an optimist/pessimist, stuff like that. And honestly everyone was happy with what terms/words they got. It was flipping scary though, and I was glad I wasn't the first who had to do it.
Another fun one was (later) having to introduce yourself without saying anything about your career/job/where you live etcetera, inlcuding the words from that first round that you liked most, things that the others missed, what you hope to do as a next step (without naming a job or industry, more like "I want responsibility and innovation", or I just want to feel like I'm playing all day". And lastly just something fun/funny about yourself.
When the day started I was super scared that it was really hippie-dippy and NMS but it turned out to be really helpful. I guess the fact that everyone there was highly educated and works or has worked in higher positions (this company specializes in those people) probably makes a difference too. I mean, my younger brothers next goal would probably be "not have to work and just drink beer". There was none of that there.
More towards internet/digital communication and strategy and preferably in a consulting role instead of just working for 1 company.
My thing is really just creating things, and I'm good at digital /technical stuff, but trained in language /communication stuff. So consulting on digital /internet communication/strategy seems like a great fit.
