So, I was forced to stop at my new fabric shop today (yes, the car pulled into the parking lot all by itself!!), and this Fabric Finders print insisted on coming home with me.
So, since it SCREAMS summer, I am thinking a shirred sundress (similar to this one from etsy)
or maybe a romper (similar to this)?
or do you have another pattern/idea you like? I'm so indecisive!
Sundress -- she'll get so much more wear out of it. Add leggings once it's too short, add a lightweight knit top underneath in early spring when you're already thinking summer... Super cute fabric!

My SIL made some of the pillowcase ones and my middle niece (2) and my older niece (7) can both wear the same ones -- one as a dress and one as a top. You could always do the shirring on the top like those still!
It is right next to the yarn shop--owned by the same people. It is small, but they are so nice and have fabric that is hard/impossible to find anywhere else in our area. Besides, I love shops that are in old homes--little rooms and nooks. So cute!
I'm still leaning towards romper....but soooo many sundress votes has me rethinking. It is so dreary here today that I am not motivated to sew for summer fun. In fact, I'm still in jammies...don't judge!
Guess I'm odd man out; I would love to see that fabric in a romper. It screams beach!
Ditto. The Romper is adorable.
I also think the romper would be adorable, but PP's make a good point about the sundress getting more wear because she wouldn't outgrow it as quickly. But the romper would be super cute!

Oh, what do they know? You can always cut the crotch and make it into a dress !
