I haven't been there in probably 10 years until this week and since I've been there twice. H had me run in for ice cream because it was late and on our way. I got 2 pints of Ben and Jerrys and they were both freezerburnt. Yuck. Then last night I met up with someone in the parking lot to sell some stuff from a Facebook swap group so I ran in since we were there. The clientelle is scary ghetto. But the stuff I bought was on sale priced pretty well so I figured what the heck. But you need the damn card so I promised the cashier I'd sign up later if she would hook me up. She was nice. She also gave me a coupon and told me about the gas perks program. You save .05 per gallon for every $50 you spend in groceries. And then she gave me a coupon so if I spend $30 in groceries between 2/22 and 2/28 I get .25 off per gallon of gas. It's not entirely clear if that means if I spend $30 I save .25 on my entire fill up, or for each gallon in my fill up. But if their prices are good it could be a decent savings. I will never buy ice cream from there again but I picked up some produce last night that is good, and they can't screw up paper towels and stuff. But I buy Publix brand for lots of stuff - milk, butter, canned beans, frozen veggies, bread sometimes, etc. Wondering about Winn Dixie brand. What about their meats? I have 1 friend who shops for meat there but he's kinda questionable, lol. I just don't wanna waste money like I did on the Ben and Jerrys. Maybe that was just God's way of telling me my fat ass didn't need it anyway

There is one by our house, but I usually pass it to go to Publix. I only go there if say, we're grilling and realize we need buns or something. The store near me is not the cleanest, which skeeves me out a bit.
I've heard about the gas thing, but it can only be used at certain gas stations, right? I've been trying to get my gas at Costco, since its usually a few cents cheaper.
Yes it is affiliated with 1 gas station and I can't remember which one. I know at the pump in the past I've seen the prompter ask if you have Winn Dixie credit but I can't remember which station it was. Maybe they charge a little more than say Hess where I usually go. Yes the store was not the prettiest at all. But it was packed both times which makes me think the produce is fresh. But the ice cream was NO bueno. I think I'll just stick to my Publix where I know everybody.
It's Shell that you save money with Fuel Perks. The Winn-Dixie that I go is on Bearss and while the plaza it is in is kind of ghetto, the store itself is really nice inside. I destroy that place with the BOGOs (they usually have BOGOs on stuff I actually buy). A few weeks ago, I got $200 worth of groceries for $110, without coupons. We save our fuel perks for the across the state visits (I've saved up to .50 cents a gallon before.) I buy a lot of their meat, and it seems to be good quality (I get chicken and pork ribs BOGO for Luis.)

The money off is per gallon up to 20 gal max I think. Be sure if you are using a gc to do the largest one fist because it is a one time credit. DH screwed up the last time we had fuel perks and I was super frustrated
So if its off per gallon and its .25 for every $30 spent does that mean if I spend $30 on groceries then I fill up a 20 gallon tank at 3.00 per gallon than each gallon is 2.75? That's $5 gas savings for spending $30. Seems like a no brainier. Maybe I'll try it out this week and see if its worth it.

Yes. But I think the actual discount is .05 for $50. However, There are a lot of items that if you buy two of you automatically get .05 cents off. They commonly have almond milk as part of this deal, so I really rack up points there.

It's normally .05 for $50 but when I paid yesterday she gave me a coupon to use between 2/22-2/28 that is good for .25 for $30.

Say wha...T is on almond milk
Yep, I usually got to WD once a month - The Blue Diamond (which I ALWAYS have the .55 off coupons for) is usually the deal. uy 2 and get an extra .5 cents off automatically. Plus, all the other points I get from regular shopping. We usually buy 4-6 a week (and 4 of them go with the girls); the other two stay with us because Luis and I both drink it, too.
babybchbum If you have the .55 cents off manufacturer's coupons, Publix has BD Almond Breeze 2/$5 right now. With the coupon, that's $1.95 each! (sara76 , since I know you said A likes almond milk, too.) I'll probably get a few and freeze them (I think I can freeze almond milk. I don't remember and I am not at home to look on a carton right now.)
Wow, I paid $3.25 for a carton yesterday at Publix! That's a good deal! We only go through about a carton a week though so 2 would be the most I would get. Let me know how the freezing turns out, not that I have room in my freezer with all my frozen veggies, waffles tortellini. Did I mention carbs?
Winn Dixie is the closest store to us however, it is dirty and the people are sketchy. Both H and I work for Publix so we do 99% of our shopping there.
