I HATE the sorting on Amazon, I just search everything but have to be super specific about the name and dept. I avoid Target online at all costs. I use google for store locator in a new area because Target's website sucks so bad. I like trying clothes on so I rarely shop online at ON or Gap.
I really love zappos.com interface. They have the best pictures and sorting functionality. Even their colors are pretty close for narrowing options. I'm always impressed.

I haaaaaaate when you're scanning clearance and you see something really cute that you thought was sold out and then you click on it, only to have a message saying "This item is no longer available" AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!! Why did you excite me with it then?? Piperlime is notorious for this. Also, piperlime: Shoes come in neat boxes. Why do you feel the need to box the shoes in ANOTHER box, with bubble wrap? Eco FAIL. Plus, its just more crap for me to haul out to recycling.
I used to love Amazon but now the Third party sellers have taken over and half the stuff I used to get great deals on is now priced at 180% of retail value. I have seriously seen stuff on there that retails for $19.50 but was listen on Amazon for $47.00.
And I HATE that they even offer a sort by price option when it doesn't freaking work at all. If I set my limit at $25 max why are you showing me items for $95??? Argh!!
I feel like I'm stuck in the 90s. I never shop online. I like to try stuff on, I guess. Although was thinking (whining)about It last night and I seriously have not been clothes shopping for myself in OVER A YEAR!!! That is tragic. I weep.

agreed. I also keep forgetting to update my email preferences. I'm so over getting multiple messages a day from them. Earth to amazon: if I've already bought a certain product from you, I don't need to know all the similar items you also sell.

JCP does this. Everything will be sold out and they'll take a week plus to clear it out.
The latter two are related: Amazon runs Target.com.
Target.com buys separately from the Stores, and maybe it's just my buyer, but they're not the brightest bulbs in the pack. Also the head never talks to the ass. .com regularly buys different items than the stores, and not on purpose.
At least Target is price matching online stores, including Target.com. That was always my pet peeve - I'd find it online, go to the store to buy it and it's more expensive.

Home Depot does not price match - I was SO pissed to find this out past summer when the patio set I wanted was like $600 more in store than it wa online.
I have zero rants, but I have a big rave. I just took over an online co-op and am having way too much fun hunting down deals and talking to manufacturers and setting up buys. And getting things for dirt cheap is right up my alley.
The online shopping experience at ON & the Gap is terrible, but made 1000x worse when you place your order and then you wait, and wait, and wait AND FUCKING WAIT for it to ship. It has taken them 10-12 days just to ship out my stuff when I've ordered online. It's nuts. Oh but you only have a 20 MINUTE window to cancel an order once you place it online. 20 minutes. But then they sit on your order for a week and a half or longer before they ship it.
Zappos has spoiled me. I don't know how they do it, but I've ordered on a Saturday night from there, and received my items on Monday.
I have had that same problem with Bath and Body Works. It took them over a week to ship an order the last time I ordered from them. Amazon and Diapers.com/wag.com/soap.com/yoyo.com (all the same family of websites... and owned by Amazon) has truly spoiled me. I can order from the diapers.com websites and have my stuff the next day 99% of the time. And it's free shipping over $49
My biggest beef with Amazon is their crappy recommendation algorithm. Like, how does it make sense that since I bought a set of blackout curtains from them, I must want to buy the same curtains in EVERY OTHER COLOR, OMG. In what world...? I understand recommending me curtain rods and such, but just variations on the same product?
That's just one example. This keeps coming up with baby stuff, too. Like, since I bought this Pack-N-Play, I must also want this one... and this one... oh, and this is another nice Pack-N-Play...
They need to hold a recommendation-improvement contest like Netflix did a few years back.
