...used someone else's toothbrush? On accident or on purpose? (gross!) Or have they used yours?

We use sonicare and MH accidentally used my toothbrush head over the weekend. (I caught him using it) He rinsed it in really hot water for a minute but I still felt grossed out about using it. Ugh.

And one time, I accidentally used his, but he didn't know. I just rinsed it and didn't tell him

Any toothbrush swapping stories in your lives?

On purpose - with my husband when we've been traveling and forgot to pack one. We swap saliva anyway, so it doesn't bother us. If it was anyone else, it would probably creep me out.

Not that I know of. That reminds me of the how I met your mother episode where they realize Marshall, lily, Ted, and occasionally robin were all using the same toothbrush.

OMG H uses mine sometimes and it makes me so mad. He also gets bored brushing his teeth in the bathroom so he walks around the house with his Sonic care in his mouth and it's loud and that also drives me crazy.

I don't think I've ever used someone elses. At least not that I'm aware of.

I suspect H uses mine more than I'd like if his is in the other bathroom, packed, etc. It's not the sharing toothbrush that bothers me. I would use his if necessary IF he didn't leave this nasty ring of gross around it. He doesn't fully rinse off the brush fully after he brushes. When I see the ring, the tooth brush goes right in the trash.

Sadly, when I go to his parents, I notice BOTH of them have the ring of gross on their toothbrushes too, so I know exactly where he got it.

Ew.

MH has the ring too. OMG, it grosses me out. I will run his under hot water every once and a while to get rid of it.

I think H and I shared a toothbrush once while traveling. We did run it under scolding water and dip it in mouthwash. I know we swap spit but the thought of sharing makes me cringe.

OMG my H does this all the time. I can't stand the noise. I'm always like go back in the bathroom!!!

We have shared toothbrushes before on occasion if we are traveling and one person forgets theirs. I don't like it but I get over it!

I have had to when traveling with my H. I am bad about remembering my tooth brush, so I have to use his. Gross, but better than not brushing my teeth for the day.

I just try not to think about the fact I am using his tooth brush. Yes, he is my husband, but a tooth brush is a very intimate thing that should not be shared, LOL

MH also drives me crazy with his tooth brushing habits! Instead of just brushing for 2 minutes with the sonicare (when the brush automatically shuts off), he brushes for like...10 minutes. And he bruses 3 or more times a day. Ok, ok-- it's good that he takes care of his teeth but I think it's dumb to brush your teeth 15 minutes before you are about to eat dinner. I don't get that and he always seems to do this. He's also messy about splashing water everywhere when he rinses and I had to train him to dry of the sonicare when he's done so that the water doesn't run down it.

ETA- also, he starts brushing right as I'm getting comfy watching tv and the loud noise annoys me. I make him leave the room, lol.

I've used my husband's on accident and immediately knew (his brushes are always really flat) and almost threw up. So gross! Lol

I find it very gross to swap plaque & could not share a toothbrush with anyone, regardless of if its MH or not. Ick.
