DH and I are losing our discount with T-mobile because he's leaving the Marine Corps. We're looking into getting a new phone company, and I was wondering what MM thinks.
We had AT&T for years. We switched to Verizon about a year ago and are kicking ourselves that we didn't do it sooner. No dropped calls, great customer serivces. Love it!

Straight Talk (the walmart plan). It's $45 for unlimited talk, text, and data. We use unlocked AT&T phones (so we pick up AT&T instead of T-Mobile towers).

I had TMobile for 12ish years and switched to Sprint when I moved states...the Tmobile coverage was crappy. I've been with Sprint about a year and I am "eh" about it.

Virgin Mobile. I hardly ever actually call people and wanted cheap unlimited text messaging and data. I pay $25/mo for 300 minutes, unlimited text, and unlimited data. There are no free mobile-to-mobile, nights, or weekends.
AT&T. I would switch to Verizon if everyone I know wasn't on AT&T. I can keep the lowest package since they don't count other AT&T customers in the minute count.
We moved from Verizon to Sprint. My mom has had Sprint forever and along with better customer service it was only about $15 more to get unlimited everything for 2 iPhone vs the crappy 1400 minutes we had on Verizon. Also we live in an older neighborhood where no one has good service and Sprint gave us a thing that hooks up to our internet and has an antenna that allows us to make calls from our condo. Verizon told us we were shit out of luck.
We were w/ Verizon for YEARS. Probably 11 years or so. We really liked Verizon. But a friend works for Sprint and we were able to get on his family plan. So now we pay the same for a Smartphone w/ a full data package that we did for simple flip phones where we didn't even get free texting.
T-mobile... had Sprint and switched to save money. After the contract is up we are buying unlocked Iphones and going with a pre-paid unlimited everything plan that will save us money! T-mobile's coverage is terrible and we live in an area with no 3g but we pay for it. I basically only can get on the internet when tapped into WIFI.
