One time a kindergartener took off his pants and underwear in front of my entire class. I'll tell you what I was told. Most of the kids will be too embarrassed to mention it to their parents because it might prompt an awkward situation in having to discuss it with them. Most may not even bring it up at home. But it's good you covered your butt by letting the principal know.
You made a mistake. It happens. I really really don't think you'll be fired. These are 14yos, its not like you showed it to 4th graders, half of which might not even know what penises are. I think you'll be fine
Exactly. Honestly, if the kids were younger I'd be all but they are 14. It's not a huge deal IMO. Just don't do that again, lol.
Ugh! The worst thing is that I sent the e-mail to the principal at 3:30 (it's 4:50 now) and I see that he read it at 3:33, but hasn't responded.
Tell me I'm not going to get into trouble
I kind of think this is funny, but I need to hear from the principal first (he's a fun guy) then I can be either relieved or start looking for a new job.
Your principal is probably still laughing and looking up the video himself. I wouldn't worry too much. Things like this happen.
Omg this is my worst nightmare! I'm a high school teacher too and can see myself doing this. I preview 99% of what I show them, but sometimes you need something on the fly.
I'm sure you'll be fine, but I hope your principal responds soon so you can relax.

I have one that might top yours. A teacher in my building put a website link on her website well something must of been typed wrong. The student typed it in and it was a porn site.
LOL! {{{{Hugs}}}} I am laughing, but I really do hope you hear from the principal soon to ease your concern.
As others have said, it was an honest mistake, and you quickly stopped it when you realized what was going on - not like you just said "Hey kids! Watch this" and left it on the whole time.
FWIW my 14yo self definitely would NOT have mentioned it to my parents - nooooo wayyyyyy, lol
Wow...I can only imagine how bad you must feel! But they're 14, it was a mistake, no one will care.
I once showed a video to my EMT class that I thought was the right one until the guy said "I'll intubate you with my 9" cock" I've never moved so damn quickly in my life to shut that off.

Ugh, I know how you feel! I was subbing for a 4th grade class a few years ago, and to make a long story short, they accidentally ended up seeing the first 5 minutes of Titanic. Do you know how many times they say shit and ass in the first 5 minutes of Titanic? A lot. And Kate Winslet's sketched boobs make an appearance.
That was awful. I still shudder thinking about that.
Your kids are old enough though- that was not the first wang they've seen on the Internet. Gross, but probably true.
