If a baby wakes up from a nap and feels warm and has a fever but is acting happy do you give Tylenol to treat the fever or let the fever do its job? The baby is 14 months and eating and drinking normally.
I wouldn't give her Tylenol and let the fever do its thing. I would also strip her down to just a diaper if staying in the house. She might be warm with pants on but cool down/ not really have a fever
I gave her Tylenol at 5. She seemed to feel better after. Then she got cranky around 7:30 and I knew she was tired so I put her in the tub because she had a little diaper rash and a bath relaxes her. I was playing on my phone a bit while she was sitting in the tub playing with her wash cloth and when I looked down at her and she was still sitting up but asleep! Like eyes closed, head nodding. I calmly got her out and toweled off and put her warm pjs on but she was shaking the whole time like she had cold chills. But it's 70 in my house. It was so sad. Her temp is down and she's sleeping but I'm going to worry a lot tonight.
Her fever is gone but she's still cranky and lethargic. Definitely not her normal little self. I'm praying its just those miserable molars are finally going to break through. They've been swollen over a month now.
